Shalom u'Vrachah!
It is unnecessary to elaborate on what our Sages have detailed at length regarding the great virtue of peace, and that there is no vessel that holds blessing except for peace. Only in such a way do we align with the will of our holy Nesi'im, may their merit protect us, who gave their lives for Ahavas Yisrael. Conducting oneself in their spirit brings additional blessing and success in one's activities.
Certainly, when the other administrators, teachers, and staff see that he himself adopts the trait of compromise and does not insist on 'accept my opinion' specifically—so long as it benefits the matters at hand (and sometimes one must even act 'against one's own opinion' for the sake of Heaven)—then my strong hope is that through such conduct peace will increase among them. Consequently, success in their activities will also increase. It is understood that sometimes by compromising there may be a temporary weakening in some details; however, as mentioned above, when it is a time to act for G‑d, this temporary loss leads to a much greater reward.
It is clear that one cannot set fixed rules here since conditions change according to places and individuals. My intention here is only a general remark: it is essential that those participating in joint work do so willingly and not merely out of compulsion or just to fulfill an obligation for their salary.
One whose mind is broad finds it easier not to insist on 'our side must win' at all costs and also considers that sometimes the loss caused by compromise results in a greater gain.
Another point which requires even more effort—as I have written many times—is that all those from Anash (our community), even if only descended from Anash—whether male or female teachers—should be especially encouraged to join the work. Even if there does not seem to be an absolute necessity, doing so adds preference and completeness to the work. This is especially true in education: every small addition for a boy or girl will grow greatly over time. As the work develops, certainly before long there will be ways found to fully utilize their abilities.
I await good news regarding all the above and thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that fostering peace through compromise among staff leads to greater blessing and success. Leaders should serve as examples by prioritizing unity over personal opinions and encouraging willing participation from all members of the community.
