במענה על מכתבו מיום ג' הנני ממהר לענות עליו כיון שהוא נוגע לטהרת בנות ישראל, אשר אין כדאי להמשיך עוד השקו"ט ודו"ד, ותומ"י להתחיל בהתקונים שעליהם כבר יש הסכמה, ומובן אשר גם בשאר התקונים צריך להשתדל באופן המתאים...
במדה גדולה תלוי באיזה אופן מתחילים הדבור עד"ז אשר לעתים תכופות כשמדברים בפשיטות שזהו דבר פשוט ואינו ענין גדול ואין כאן כלל הוצאת לעז על הראשונים והעיקר שאין מטריחים אחרים ונותנים להם כבוד, אפשר להוציא כל הדברים לפועל מבלי קישויים ובפרט כאשר כבר יתחילו בהתקונים ויווכחו כל הצדדים שאין מכוונים למעט גדולתם וכיו"ב בקל יותר יסכימו גם על שאר התקונים והענינים אף שלא ידברו אודותם עד אז.

In response to your letter from Tuesday, I am hurrying to reply since it concerns the purity of the daughters of Israel. It is not worthwhile to continue the debate and discussion; rather, immediately begin implementing the corrections for which there is already agreement. It is understood that one must also strive for the other corrections in an appropriate manner...
Much depends on how one begins to speak about this matter. Often, when one speaks simply—as if it is something obvious and not a big issue—and makes clear that there is no disparagement of earlier authorities and, most importantly, does not inconvenience others but gives them honor, it is possible to bring everything into practice without difficulties. Especially once the corrections have begun and all sides see that there is no intent to diminish anyone's greatness or similar concerns, it will be easier for them to agree to further corrections and matters even if they are not discussed until then.
