Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 21st of Shevat in which you write about the matter of naming your grandchild, which was done by your daughter's mother-in-law.
According to what is written in sefarim (holy books), giving a name to a newborn child should be done by the father and mother. Of course, they can delegate someone else to do this on their behalf. If in this case it was not done that way, your daughter and son-in-law should come together and reach a mutual agreement about what name to give the child.
Since a Mi Sheberach has already been made and the child already has a name, the name should not be withdrawn, G‑d forbid. However, another name can still be added. May Hashem help you have Jewish nachas from all your descendants with peace of mind.
With blessing.
In the name of the Rebbe Shlita.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that naming a child is ideally for the parents to decide or delegate. If a name was already given by someone else and formalized with a Mi Sheberach, it should not be changed, but an additional name may be added if desired.
