Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from Wednesday, which was received on Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh, I repeat what I conveyed orally to your brother-in-law, that as is known in cases like these, the initial attempt is to flush (arapshveynken) what is present in the kidneys by increasing drinking in general and especially with suitable liquids. Since you did not mention this in your letter, it seems this has not yet been done, which is surprising. It is possible that even now it can still be tried, because to my knowledge only after trying the above do they consider removing what is present in the kidneys with an appropriate instrument. May Hashem send you a complete and speedy recovery so you can engage in both revealed Torah and Chassidus with proper health and peace of mind.

Awaiting good news.

Summary

The Rebbe emphasizes following standard medical procedures for kidney issues—beginning with increased fluid intake—before considering more invasive steps. He encourages diligence in health matters so one can pursue Torah study fully.
