נעם לי לקבל הפ"ש ממנו ע"י הרה"ח אי"א נו"נ כו' מוה"ר פנחס שי' אלטהויז, כן מסר לי תשורתו היקרה מזוזה קופסא של בשמים וטס של כסף[2], והספר "תורת רבי פנחס מקוריץ", ות"ח ת"ח על התשורות הללו המעוררים זכרונות ימי קדם ורגשות הבאות מקרב הנפש פנימה, ויה"ר מהשי"ת אשר הרגישים האלו יהי' סיבה וגורם לענינים של פועל בחיים היום יומיים וכמרז"ל לא המדרש עיקר אלא המעשה עיקר.
א"ת[3] אהי' לכת"ר שי' אם יכתוב בפרטיות אודות המזוזה הקופסא והטס של כסף הנ"ל, אף שמסר לי הרה"ח כו' אלטהויז שי' ר"פ בזה. מכתבי הקודם בטח קיבל בזמנו.

I was pleased to receive your regards through Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n etc. Moreinu HaRav Pinchas Altahaiz, and he also delivered your precious gifts: a mezuzah, a spice box, a silver plate, and the book "Torat Rabbi Pinchas of Koretz." Many thanks for these gifts that stir memories of earlier days and feelings that come from deep within the soul. May it be the will of Hashem that these feelings will serve as a cause and catalyst for practical matters in daily life—as our Sages say: "Not study is the main thing but action is the main thing."
I would be grateful if you would write in detail about the mezuzah, the box, and the silver plate mentioned above—even though Haraha"ch etc. Altahaiz already gave me some information about this.
You surely received my previous letter in its time.
