מאשר הנני בזה קבלת מכתבו מד' כסלו, וכבקשתו אקרא את הפ"נ שלו על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
והנה בטח לדכוותי' אך למותר הוא לבאר פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, שענין הברכה הוא ע"ד הגשם שמועיל לאחר החרישה והזריעה, ועד"ז הוא ענין הפ"נ הוא ע"י התקשרות שיש בין המבקש והמתבקש, וכיון שחפצו ורצונו הוא שאקרא הפ"נ שלו על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, הרי בודאי יקבע שיעור בלימוד תורתו שהו"ל במשך השנים האחרונות וכמה מהקונטרסים והספרים הנ"ל נמצאים בירושת"ו עיה"ק אצל אנ"ש והישיבה.
וביחוד מסוגל חדש זה הוא חדש הגאולה של רבינו הזקן מייסד תורת חסידות חב"ד ויחד עמו התחלת הפצת תורת דא"ח בהתפשטות ובהסברה המובנת גם בשכל אנושי שבמילא גורר אחריו החיוב ללמוד התורה עד שתובן ותבוא בקליטה בחב"ד שבנפש ולא רק חב"ד של נפש האלקית אלא גם של נפש הבהמית, וידוע מרז"ל שאינו מבקש אלא לפי כחם כו'.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 4th of Kislev. As you requested, I will read your pan at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal.
Surely for your honor this is clear, but it is nevertheless worthwhile to explain the saying of my revered father-in-law: that a blessing is like rain which is effective after plowing and sowing. Similarly, a pan works through the hiskashrus (bond) between the one requesting and the one being asked. Since your desire and will is that I read your pan at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, you will certainly establish a set time to study his Torah which he published over recent years. Many of these booklets and volumes are available in Jerusalem at Anash and at the yeshivah.
This month is especially auspicious—it is the month of geulah (redemption) of Rabbeinu HaZaken, founder of Chabad Chassidus. With it began the spreading of Chassidus in an expansive way and with explanations understandable even to human intellect. This obligates us to learn Torah until it is absorbed in our Chabad faculties—not only those of the G‑dly soul but also those of the animal soul. As our Sages say: "He asks only according to their strength," etc.

Summary
