ב) תקותי שמזדרזים ככל האפשרי, בענין בניני הבי"ס למלאכה, ובפרט שכמו שכתבתי, הרי הד"ר שפירא מבקר עתה באה"ק ת"ו, וגם אחרים מתאוננים, שמחמיצים את שעת הכושר מה שקצבו בתחלת החורף סכום נכון לבית ספר זה.
ג) מה שכותבים הסיבות דהעדר הבחינות של כו"כ תלמידים הנה אלו מהם שלא נבחנו עדיין מצד הבריאות, הרי בודאי הסיבה עוברת, וכן גם אלו שמתלמדים מלאכת השו"ב, לכאורה, אין זה סיבה שאינם רוצים שידעו כשרונם וידיעתם בתורת הנגלה והחסידות, ובודאי גם בהשאר - יש למצוא עצה שלא יהי' בזה כל ענין של מיעוט הדמות שלהם ח"ו, כיון שאין הידיעות אלא בשבילי. וגם הבוחנים הרי בודאי, לא יפרסמו את התוצאות כלל וכלל, שבמילא יתן זה האפשריות להבחן גם לאלו שהשתמטו עצמם מזה עד עתה...

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letters from 27 Nissan and 6 Iyar, along with their enclosures. The diagram was also received in a separate package.
b) I hope you are hurrying as much as possible regarding the construction of the vocational school building. As I have written before, Dr. Shapira is currently visiting Eretz HaKodesh, and others are also complaining that you are missing the opportunity set at the beginning of winter for an appropriate sum for this school.
c) Regarding what you wrote about the reasons some students did not take exams: those who have not yet been tested due to health reasons—the cause will surely pass; likewise, those learning shochet skills—this does not seem a reason why they would not want their abilities and knowledge in Nigleh and Chassidus to be known. Certainly, for the rest as well—a solution should be found so there is no concern of diminishing their stature G‑d forbid, since this knowledge is only for me. Also, the examiners will certainly not publicize the results at all, which will allow even those who have avoided testing until now to participate...
