I received your letter from the 26th of Adar, and today I wrote to Havavac"h iy"a nu"n engaged in tzt"z etc. Moreinu HaRav Moshe Sheyowitz my opinion regarding the wording of the letter from my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, that I do not see any limitation regarding the time of his leadership.

Here I wish to remind you about the content of your letter to me—which you surely remember—about the great lack in communal activity in the Chabad field in Chicago and your estimation of its cause, and at the end of your letter you wrote how necessary it is to revive all matters in the Chabad camp in your city.

Now that I have learned from Harav Hachassid iy"a nu"n engaged in tzt"z with faith etc. Moreinu HaRav Shlomo Zalman Hecht that the Union of Chabad-Lubavitch Synagogues has begun practical work, my strong hope is that you will invest all the strength and energy with which Hashem has blessed you to expand and enhance this work as much as possible. And although surely you were already involved regardless, since you wrote to me on this topic as above, it is only necessary now to increase your efforts even more than usual.

It is well known—the assurance of the Alter Rebbe (quoted in a letter from my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal at the end of Sefer Kitzurim to Tanya p. 122) that because of his self-sacrifice, it was decreed by the Heavenly Court that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, his chassidim and those who follow his path will prevail.
