לאסיפתכם השנתית הי"א אשר תתקיים ביום א' אור לי"ג אדר, ערב פורים הבע"ל, הנני שולח ברכתי הלבבית לכל המשתתפים באסיפה, המדריכים, המחנכים, החברים והידידים של הועד.
מאז נוסד הועד על ידי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע וניגש לעבודתו החנוכית, שמחתי לראות כי עבודתכם, ככל דבר חי אשר סימן חיותו הוא גידולו, הולכת וגדלה מדי שנה בשנה, הן במספר המדריכים ובמספר בני ובנות ישראל המושפעים על ידם, והן באיכות פרי עבודתכם הטובה. ואני תקוה, כי תלכו מחיל אל חיל להיות מעלין בקדש בעלי' אחר עלי', כחפץ ורצון המייסד הגדול ומתאים לדרישת השעה.
אסיפתכם מתקיימת בערב חג הפורים. הכל הוא בהשגחה פרטית. והוראה גדולה יש לראות בדבר.
מספרים חז"ל כי בשעה שיצאה הגזירה להשמיד וכו' ר"ל, יצא מרדכי ברחובות עיר וכינס כ"ב אלף תינוקות של בית רבן ללמדם תורה ויחד אתם לשפוך לב לפני אביהם שבשמים בתפלה ותחנונים. ומסירות נפש גדולה השריש בלבותם, עד שקראו פה אחד: בין במות בין בחיים עמך אנו. ועל ידי זה נקרע גזר הדין ונהפך הוא ממות לחיים ומיגון לשמחה - בחיי הגוף וחיי הנפש גם יחד.
על כל אחד ואחת להתבונן, אשר מרדכי הצדיק הי' מראשי הסנהדרין, ראש לכל הצדיקים, כמשה בדורו, ואף על פי כן יצא [ב]כבודו ובעצמו ללַמד תורה ביראת שמים ומסירות נפש לילדים קטנים, תינוקות של בית רבן.
על כל אחד ואחת מאתנו לזכור תמיד: אל ידמה אדם בנפשו כי מעמדו ומצבו פוטר אותו מלטפל בחינוך הקטנים, וכיצד יבטל ממעשיו ועסקיו הרמים?!
עליו להכיר, כי חשוב מכל הוא לקבוע, על כל פנים, חלק מזמנו, ולהקדיש, עכ"פ, חלק מכוחותיו לכיבוש החינוך של הדור הצעיר, כדי לנטוע בלבם יראת שמים ומסירות נפש לכל הקדוש, הקדוש לנו מאז היינו לממלכת כהנים וגוי קדוש - במעמד הר סיני.
ואז רק אז בטוחים נהי' כי הדור הצעיר יהי' נאמן לה' ולתורתו, ובדרך ממילא גם קיום עמנו יהי' בטוח. וגדול כח עבודה קדושה ומסורה זו לבטל כל הקיטרוגים והגזירות ועם ישראל ישכון בטח בדד.
בברכת הצלחה בעבודתכם, להרבות מספר המדריכים והמחנכים כהנה וכהנה, ובעיקר - להרבות מספר בני ובנות ישראל המושפעים על ידכם כמה פעמים ככה. ויהי רצון שיתקיימו בכם מדותיו [ה]טובות של הקב"ה בהשפע בפירוי ורבוי, הפדות ברבוי הברכה ברבוי השבח ברבוי,

To the eleventh annual assembly of the Committee for Defenders and Expanders of Kosher Education under the management of the "Merkaz L'Inyanei Chinuch," may G‑d be upon them for life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
For your eleventh annual assembly, which will take place on Sunday night, the eve of 13 Adar, on the eve of Purim, I send my heartfelt blessings to all participants in the assembly—the counselors, educators, members, and friends of the committee.
Since the committee was founded by my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (of blessed memory), and began its educational work, I have been pleased to see that your efforts—like any living thing whose sign of vitality is growth—have increased year by year: in both the number of counselors and in the number of Jewish boys and girls influenced by them, as well as in the quality of your good work. I hope you will continue to go from strength to strength, rising ever higher in holiness as desired by your great founder and as required by our times.
Your assembly takes place on the eve of Purim. Everything is by Divine Providence, and there is a great lesson here. Our Sages tell us that when the decree went out to destroy (G‑d forbid), Mordechai went through the city streets and gathered twenty-two thousand children to teach them Torah. Together with them he poured out his heart before their Father in Heaven with prayer and supplication. He instilled great self-sacrifice in their hearts until they all cried out as one: "Whether dead or alive—we are with You." Through this, the decree was torn up and transformed from death to life and from mourning to joy—both physical life and spiritual life together.
Everyone should reflect that Mordechai HaTzaddik was one of the heads of Sanhedrin—a leader among all tzaddikim—like Moshe in his generation. Yet he personally went out himself to teach Torah with awe of Heaven and self-sacrifice to young children—the children attending school.
Each one of us must always remember: No one should imagine that his position or status exempts him from being involved in educating young children or think he can neglect this for his lofty pursuits! One must recognize that above all else it is important to set aside at least some time—and dedicate at least some energy—to conquering education for our young generation: planting awe of Heaven and self-sacrifice for everything holy—holy to us since we became a kingdom of priests and a holy nation at Mount Sinai—in their hearts.
Only then can we be sure that our young generation will remain faithful to G‑d and His Torah; consequently, our nation's existence will also be secure. The power of this sacred devoted work is great enough to nullify all accusations and decrees so that Israel may dwell securely alone.
With blessings for success in your work—to increase many times over both counselors and educators—and most importantly: to multiply many times over the number of Jewish boys and girls influenced through you. May it be G‑d's will that you merit G‑d's good attributes abundantly: redemption in abundance, blessing in abundance, praise in abundance.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every individual must personally invest time and effort into educating Jewish youth with awe of Heaven. True dedication ensures continuity, security, and spiritual growth for our people—just as Mordechai inspired self-sacrifice among children during Purim times.
