בכלל זמני הנישואין בחדשים אלו הם באלול או בכסלו ובנדו"ד הנה, זה תלוי יותר בהכנות מצד הכלה תי'.
בנוגע להנחת תפילין דר"ת - ידוע לי מבחורים ששאלו את כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ אם להניח תפילין דר"ת וענה: א גלייכע זאך, ואם כן למה זה ידחה הנחתן לאיזה זמן, כיון שכבר החליט להניחן, וראה שער הכולל פי"א סל"ט בשם ס' עצי עדן, בעטרת זקנים סל"ד בשם ז"ח. אות חיים להגה"צ ממונקאטש סל"ד סק"ג, וכבר כתב בס' פסקי הסדור להרב נאה שלא שמע טעם מפני מה רוב הבחורים מתחילים להניח תפילין דר"ת רק לאחרי הנשואין.

In response to your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh: Mazal tov, mazal tov on the engagement that took place with your daughter, may she live. May their home be an everlasting edifice upon the foundations of Torah and mitzvos, in accordance with the will of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m.
In general, weddings during these months are held in Elul or Kislev. In your case, it depends more on the preparations from the bride's side.
Regarding donning Tefillin D'Rabbeinu Tam—it is known to me that bochurim asked my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, whether to put on Tefillin D'Rabbeinu Tam and he answered: "A proper thing." If so, why delay putting them on for any time once one has already decided to do so? See Shaar HaKolel ch. 11 end quoting Sefer Atzei Eden; in Ataras Zekeinim end quoting Zohar Chadash; Ot Chaim by the righteous gaon of Munkatch end sec. 3; and it is already written in Sefer Piskei HaSiddur by Rav Naeh that he never heard a reason why most bochurim begin wearing Tefillin D'Rabbeinu Tam only after marriage.
