בא יעדער געלגענהייט, ובפרט שבת און יום טוב, ווען יעדער איז רוחניותדיקער ווי א גאנצע וואך, פאראייניגן מיר זיך אלע, די וועלכע האבן געהאט דעם זכות פון זיין זיינע תלמידים אדער מקושרים - מיט הארות ובחי' רוחו העצמיות פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ, ווי מרומז אין אגרת הקודש פון אלטן רבין סימן כ"ז וביאורו.
כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וועלכער האט מקדיש געווען זיין לעבן לטובת הכלל והפרט, ולטובת המקושרים אליו בפרטי פרטיות, איז זיכער ממשיך אויך יעצט זיינע השפעות.
אבער די השפעות זיינען יעצט אנדערש, במידה ידועה, ווי פריער ווארום יעצט איז דאך די נשמה פריי פון די הגבלות און צמצומים פון גוף און האט אן עלי' בעילוי אחר עילוי (וואס דאס איז די בעדייטונג פון דעם ווארט "הסתלקות"), במילא זיינען די השפעות - סיי די גשמיותדיגע און סיי די רוחניותדיגע - אויך אין א העכערן און געהויבענערן אופן. בדרך ממילא פאדערט דאס ארויס, אז אויך דער מקבל מוז זיך צופאסן צו די העכערע השפעות דורך אויפהייבן זיך.
כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ האט אונז זיין גאנץ לעבן געלערנט ווי צו שטייגן, און ניט נאר במחשבה נאר אויך בפועל, און אויך יעצט זיינען שפתיו מדובבות גם בעולם הזה דורך זיינע צאלרייכע תורות, מאמרים, שיחות מכתבים; און דורך ממלא זיין זיין חפץ ורצון בפועל, שאפן מיר די כלים צו מקבל זיין די הויכע השפעות וואס ער וויל אונז משפיע זיין. די צייט פון יציאת מצרים, מצרים וגבולים, ספירת העומר וקבלת התורה בחג השבועות וואס יעדער פון אונז מוז ארויס פון די הגבלות אפילו פון זיין מצרים דקדושה, וכל שכן פון די הגבלות פון זיין שכל אנושי ונפש הבהמית און גרייטן זיך צו קבלת התורה איז באזונדערס מסוגל צו שטייגן ברוחניות - (מ'דארף נאר זיך אויסהיטן פון דעם קלוגינקענ'ס אפנארעריי) -. ובמילא זיינען זיי אויך מסוגל צו מקבל זיין די השפעות עליונות בגשמיות וברוחניות.

I received your letter in good time and delivered the check according to your instructions. Enclosed is a receipt. I am also enclosing here the Likkut from Yud-Tes Kislev, may Hashem grant success—the last public sichah of my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m.
On every occasion, especially on Shabbos and Yom Tov when everyone is more spiritually attuned than during the week, we all unite—those who had the merit to be his students or mekusharim—with the radiance and essential spirit of my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, as hinted in Iggeres HaKodesh of the Alter Rebbe siman 27 and its explanation.
My father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, who dedicated his life for the benefit of both the community and individuals—and especially for those connected to him in particular—is certainly continuing to bestow his influence even now. However, these influences are now different in a certain measure than before because now the soul is free from bodily limitations and constraints and ascends ever higher (which is what "histalkus" means). Therefore, these influences—both material and spiritual—are also on a higher and loftier level.
Consequently, this demands that the recipient must also adapt to these higher influences by elevating himself. My father-in-law taught us throughout his life how to ascend—not only in thought but also in action—and even now his lips move in this world through his numerous teachings: discourses, talks, letters; and by fulfilling his will in practice we create vessels to receive the lofty influences he wishes to bestow upon us.
The period of Yetziyas Mitzrayim (Exodus from Egypt), leaving boundaries and limitations; Sefiras HaOmer; and receiving the Torah on Shavuos—all teach that each of us must leave our own limitations—even those of "Mitzrayim d'kedushah," all the more so those of human intellect or animal soul—and prepare for Kabbalas HaTorah. This time is especially auspicious for spiritual ascent (one just needs to beware of being fooled by cleverness). As a result, it is also an auspicious time to receive elevated influences both materially and spiritually.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that after a tzaddik's histalkus their influence becomes even loftier. To receive these blessings—especially during Sefirah—we must elevate ourselves spiritually through action and preparation for Kabbalas HaTorah.
