Shalom u'Vrachah!

The Previous Rebbe, my father-in-law of blessed memory, wrote in one of his letters: "Chassidus has accomplished that wherever one is, one is not alone." If this is so "when the tzaddik is alive upon the earth... in a physical place," how much more so now when he is found even more than during his lifetime in this world of action. And all the more so regarding a tzaddik who is a Rebbe—a true intermediary who connects between Havayah (the Divine Name) and you; Havayah to whom nature does not apply at all, G‑d forbid. The intermediary contains both aspects between which he mediates. In relation to his chassidim and those connected to him—who stand now as before—since the connection of yechidah (the innermost soul) must be above time—and with even greater intensity of connection, for they say to their souls and bodies: 'We do not want anything else at all,' then there is absolutely no interruption, G‑d forbid. On the contrary: spirit draws spirit etc., both spiritually and materially for all good things. For just as above so below—in a Rebbe—the nature (which is above reason and knowledge) is goodness to bestow goodness.

Regarding your question about the hint in the letter yud written in Ashurit script—I have not heard anything about this. It was first written in footnotes to letter 579 above; afterwards it was sent to several people as a separate letter with some additional notes in footnotes. It was printed in Likkutei Sichos vol. 11 p. 207. In one of his letters: see Hayom Yom for 22 Iyar.

Summary
