In response to your comments on Tanya as mentioned in your letter from section 48:

a) In the glosses on Tanya (and similarly in other books), there are matters that are not directly relevant to understanding the main text; they serve only as proofs for what is written in the main text, answers to questions on what is written there, and similar purposes. I do not know from where you derive that these are specifically related to Kabbalah matters. See the glosses on chapters 1, 24, 35, 36, 37, 39, 42, and 52.

b) In the gloss to chapter 42 a new and side matter is explained—something not discussed at all in the main text. The main text includes a general principle that for each person it is a minor thing to know G‑d and one must strive for this; the explanation is only about how this leads to awe. In the gloss he explains that even if there is a situation where one does not recognize the king at all, nevertheless awe and fear will fall upon him.

c) You ask: In the end of chapter 42, the analogy does not match the lesson—the analogy of garments reveals something about the king but in the lesson they conceal and contradict kingship. I am surprised by this question since Admor HaZaken himself notes this and writes: "But the main thing is to be fixed... that everything one sees... are external garments of the king..."

Signing with blessing for peace as appropriate and wishing all good always.

Summary

The Rebbe explains how Tanya's commentaries serve different roles—sometimes as proofs or clarifications—and addresses specific questions about analogies used in its chapters. Careful attention to both text and commentary deepens understanding.
