אייער בריוו האב איך צייטיג ערהאלטען. האב ליידער ביז יעצט ניט געהאט קיין מעגליכקייט צו ענטפערען אייך, איבער דער טרדא פון צוגרייטען צום דרוק פון אייניגע זאכען. צווישען זיי אויך די שיחה פון ל"ג בעומר, קונטרס צו שבועות און קאמפליט סטארי אוו שבועות (דאס אלעס האב איך געהייסען אייך ארויסשיקען. סטארי שבועות איז דא בייגעלייגט).
איך בין געווען צופרידען צו לייענען אין אייער בריוו, וועגען דעם שטארקען און גוטען איינדרוק וואס די באשרייבונג - אין די זכרונות - פון בנימין וואלף און די אנדערע נסתרים האבען געמאכט אויף די אידען פון אייער שול.
איר האט זיי געדארפט אויפמערקזאם מאכען ספעציעל, אויף צוויי לעסאנס וואס יעדערער פון אונז און זיי דארף אפלערנען פון די סיפורים:
א) בנוגע צו יענעם: מיט יעדען אידען וואס מען טרעפט זיך, דארפען אלעמאל געדיינקען, אז אויב אפילו עס ווייזט זיך אויס אז ער איז גאר א פשוטער, און אפשר נאך ערגער פון דעם: ניט ערלעך, א.א.וו. - קען מען ניט זיין זיכער וואס ער איז באמת ובפנימיות. ווארום נסתרים זיינען בא אידען אלעמאל געווען און אויך איצט דא, און א סך א סך מעהר ווי למד ואו, ובמילא דארף מען מלמד זכות זיין אויף עם, זיין נזהר בכבודו, משתדל זיין זיך אויף טאן א חובה עם אין אלעס וואס מעגליך, א.א.וו.
ב) בנוגע צו זיך: יעדערער פון אונז האט אין זיך כוחות נסתרים, וואס אויב נאר ער וועט שטארק וועלען און טאן אין דעם, וועט עם דער אויבערשטער העלפען דערגרייכען די גרעסטע הויכען, ווארום א איד, ווען ער פארבינדט זיך, דורך תורה ומצוות, מיט דעם אויבערשטען וועלכער איז בלי הגבלה, אן קיין שום באגרעניצונג, האט דער איד בכוח דורכברעכען אלע גבולים, לימיט'ס. און דארום זאגען חז"ל: חייב אדם לומר מתי יגיעו מעשי למעשה אבותי אברהם יצחק ויעקב.
ווי גייט בא אייך דער לערנען? מיט זיך און מיט יענעם? זיכער האט איר א קביעות לימוד ברבים?
איך פארענדיק מיט וואונשען צו חג השבועות הבע"ל, אז מיר אלע זאלען מקבל זיין די תורה בשמחה און בפנימיות, און זי זאל זיין בא אונז א תורת חיים, ניט א תורה וואס מען גיט איר אפ כבוד און מען האלט איר אבער אפגעשלאסען כדי זי זאל זיך ניט מישען אין טאג טעגליכען לעבען, נאר דוקא א תורה וואס פירט אן מיט אונזער און אלעמענס חיים.

I received your letter promptly. Unfortunately, until now I have not had the opportunity to respond to you due to the workload of preparing several items for print. Among them are also the sichah from Lag BaOmer, a kuntres for Shavuos, and a complete story about Shavuos (I instructed you to send all these out. The Shavuos story is enclosed).
I was pleased to read in your letter about the strong and positive impression that the description—in the memoirs—of Binyamin Wolf and the other nistarim made on the Jews of your shul. You needed to draw their attention especially to two lessons that each of us—and they—should learn from these stories:
a) Regarding others: With every Jew we encounter, we must always remember that even if it appears he is very simple, or perhaps even worse—not honest, etc.—we cannot be sure who he truly is inside. For nistarim have always existed among Jews and still do today, and far more than one would imagine. Therefore, one must always judge him favorably, be careful with his honor, strive to fulfill our obligations toward him in every possible way, etc.
b) Regarding oneself: Each of us has hidden powers within ourselves; if only we truly want and act upon them, G‑d will help us reach the greatest heights. For a Jew who connects through Torah and mitzvos with the Infinite One Who has no limitations can break through all boundaries and limits. That is why our Sages say: Chayav adam lomar matai yagiu ma'asai lema'asei avotai Avraham Yitzchak v'Yaakov (A person is obligated to say: When will my deeds reach those of my forefathers Avraham, Yitzchak, and Yaakov).
How is your learning going? Both personally and with others? Surely you have a set time for communal study?
I conclude with wishes for the upcoming Shavuos holiday—that we should all receive the Torah with joy and inwardness; that it should be for us a Torah of life—not a Torah that we merely honor but keep locked away so it does not mix into daily life—but specifically a Torah that leads our lives and everyone's lives.
