אזוי ווי נוסף אויף די קאפיעס וועלכע איך שיק אייך קומט אייך אויס באזונדער ארויסצורעדען מיינע רעיונות, וויל איך דא אויסניצן די געלעגנהייט, ווי מיין שטייגער איז, מיט א דבר תורה.
דער רמב"ם סוף הל' שמיטה ויובל ערקלערט דאס וואס די תורה האט געזאגט, אז א כהן דארף ניט האבן א חלק אין לאנד צוגלייך מיט אנדערע אידן, ווייל ה' הוא נחלתו, ד. ה. דערפאר וואס ער איז פארנומען מיט גייסטיקע ענינים און האט צו ערפילן זיינע גייסטיקע פליכטן צום פאלק, באזארגט אים דער אויבערשטער מיט זיין פרנסה.
די אויפגאבע פון א כהן איז יורו משפטיך ליעקב גו', צו פארשפרייטן תורה און אידישקייט צווישן פאלק. ווינש איך אייך דאס אין דעם נייען יאר זאלט איר קענען דורכפירן אלע אייערע אויפגאבען אלס א כהן, און בפרט אין אייער מיטהילף אין דער ארבעט פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שליט"א וועלכער איז בבחי' כהן גדול.
גלייכצייטיק וויל איך אויסדריקן אונזער טיפע דאנקבארקייט פאר אייער אויפריכטיקער אינטערעסירונג און הילף צום מרכז לעניני חינוך, און איך בין זיכער דאס אויך להבא וועט איר שטיין בא אונזער זייט דורכצופירן די ברייטע פראגראם פון מרכז לעניני חינוך וואס דורך דעם ווערט אויסגעפירט די כונה העליונה.

On the threshold of the coming new year, I hereby express, in the name of Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch and in my own name, our heartfelt wishes to you and your esteemed wife and family for a ketivah v'chatimah tovah in the Book of Life, blessing and peace, good livelihood, and all the best in revealed good.
Just as in addition to the copies I am sending you it is appropriate to address my thoughts to you personally, I wish to take this opportunity—as is my custom—to share a Torah thought.
The Rambam at the end of Hilchot Shemitah v'Yovel explains why the Torah says that a Kohen should not have a portion in the land like other Jews: because Hashem is his inheritance. That is, since he is occupied with spiritual matters and has spiritual obligations to the people, Hashem provides for his livelihood. The task of a Kohen is "Yoru mishpatecha l'Yaakov..." (They shall teach Your judgments to Yaakov...), to spread Torah and Judaism among the people.
I wish you that in this new year you will be able to fulfill all your tasks as a Kohen, especially your assistance in the work of the Rebbe Rayatz shlita who is on the level of Kohen Gadol.
At the same time, I want to express our deep gratitude for your sincere interest and help toward Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch. I am certain that also in the future you will stand by our side in carrying out the broad program of Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch through which the Divine intent is fulfilled.
