In response to your letter from the 10th of Kislev: a) It is unfortunate that it was not known in time that printed materials should not be distributed for free. However, we hope that you will now strive to arrange everything with G‑d's help according to our instructions, and also correct past matters as much as possible, since only lack of resources is delaying the printing of several items.

b) The Melamed L'Horaas Chadorim is making efforts so that in all countries and in all schools where Hebrew is taught, it should be taught in its sacred purity. For this purpose, suitable textbooks and readers are being published. However, this does not indicate any positive or negative relationship of the Melamed L'Horaas Chadorim toward those schools.

c) We are pleased to hear correct comments that are worth considering for future publications. In any case, we are interested in knowing all criticism, and we would appreciate it if you inform us what you have heard in this regard and from what type of people the criticism comes: whether from those with good intentions or from those seeking faults with Chabad and chassidim, etc.

d) Since it is very important that the committee for spreading printed materials—both in Chassidus and regarding education and Machane Yisrael—be established as soon as possible and begin its work (since we do not know who is suitable so that the work will proceed energetically without interfering with other ongoing matters), we are attaching a general letter. Surely you will all gather together and choose those most suitable for this task. Once you inform us who they are, we can correspond directly with them, G‑d willing.

e) If for some reason the establishment of the above-mentioned committee is delayed, please let us know how many copies to send from each type of printed material for now.

f) The following have just been completed at the printer: Kuntres Sichos and Maamarim Chicago 5702; as previously mentioned on Chai Elul 5705; our book volume II; our book volume IV; ready for printing: tzt"z on Mishnayos (photograph from the first print); Hayom Yom 5704. Preparing for print: Book of Letters of my father-in-law the Rebbe shlita.

g) Please inform whether the Tanya you printed is a photograph or newly typeset; how many copies were printed; and whether you have any from Metzritchin or similar places.
