Shalom u'Vrachah!

Surely you have already received your membership card from the Mishnayos Ba'al Peh Society. The Gemara says (Shevuos 39a): "Kol Yisrael areivin zeh bazeh" (All Jews are responsible for one another). On this, the Rebbe shlita said: "Arev" has three meanings—sweet, mixed together, and responsible. A Jew is sweet to another Jew; a Jew with another Jew is mixed together; and a Jew is responsible for another Jew. Through one Torah, Jews become one nation—a goy echad—that is united with Hashem Elokeinu Hashem Echad (the L‑rd our G‑d, the L‑rd is One).

We hope that you will not be satisfied with only having a good eye for yourself but will be among those who bring merit to the many. You should take part in every possible way in the broad and far-reaching work of Machane Yisrael.

As our holy Rebbe shlita has warned many times, we are now in the final moments of exile, and Torah and teshuvah are the only means to ease the birth pangs of Moshiach.

The love that every Jew must feel for another Jew awakens in his heart the greatest compassion for someone who does not do teshuvah in these times.

From the newspaper clipping we are enclosing here, you will see in which area—according to circumstances—it is easier for you to begin working.

Before starting this work it may seem difficult, but once you begin you will see that with Hashem's help much can be accomplished.
