Shalom u'Vrachah!

As a Tamim who is interested and takes part in the activities of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita, you will surely be interested to hear about the work of two important institutions: "Machne Israel" and "Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch," both under the leadership of my father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita.

There has already been written about the work of Machne Israel in Keriah V'Kedushah, the monthly published by Agudas Chabad, as well as in the Morgen Journal newspaper (a clipping is enclosed). Thank G‑d, Machne Israel's activities have expanded, and its membership has grown from all circles of Torah- and mitzvah-observant Jews, regardless of party affiliation, through establishing Tehillim groups, Mishnayos-by-heart groups, etc.

While Machne Israel's work is mainly dedicated to adults, Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch focuses primarily on Jewish boys and girls—to strengthen their education so it will be pure and holy. The branches of Merkaz L'Inyonei Chinuch are many: founding "Shabbos Gatherings" (we sent you a booklet with a report on this activity), establishing schools for girls, evening classes for teachers and religious educators, publishing reading books for Jewish children and youth—especially the monthly "Shmuessen Mit Kinder Un Yugent" (in Yiddish and English), which just completed its first year with 24 issues that have won the hearts of young people, their teachers, and parents.

It goes without saying that this work has thankfully borne fruit in strengthening Torah and Judaism and raising a new generation—a generation of upright people—for the honor and glory of Yisrael Saba.

It is known what is said: MeHashem Mitzadei Gever Konanu (From G‑d are a man's steps established), that every Tamim wherever he may be has a special mission to bring light into Jewish communities in his area—and to act as much as possible with self-sacrifice regarding LeSheYafutzu Maayanosecha Chutzah (that your wellsprings should spread outward), especially in these days of Ikvesa D'Meshicha (the footsteps before Mashiach), when there is a doubled obligation upon every Tamim and Anash to fulfill VeAhavta LeReiacha Kamocha (love your fellow as yourself) and to be among those who merit the many.

I am confident that you will strive to act in all these matters and participate in our holy work that unites all Temimim across all four corners of the world. We would be happy to hear back from you about what has been done through your efforts; we are ready to assist you with various materials. You too should make every effort possible.
