זיכער ווייסט איר פון דעם חסידישן מנהג וואס דער בעל שם טוב האט איינגעפירט, אז מען זאל דינען השם יתברך מיט שמחה, וואס דורך דעם קאן מען מער פועל'ן איידער דורך דער עבודה אין דעם פארקערטן זייט, ווייל שמחה איז פורץ גדר, און אז די שמחה איז ווי דער רצון השם יתברך איז, אין אהבת השם, אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל, איז דענסטמאל גיט דער אויבערשטער מידו המלאה הפתוחה הקדושה והרחבה, אז עס זאל זיין פון וואס צו זיין צופרידן אן איבעריקע חשבונות.
איך האף צו א גוטע בשורה פון אייך אז אייער געזונט האט זיך פארבעסערט און איר זעצט פאר צו גיין אין שול, ווי אייער מנהג הטוב איז,
ואחתום בברכה לאריכות ימים ושנים טובות, וואס דער טייטש איז א צווייפאכיגער: כפשוטו, לאנגע געזונטע יארן, און צו דעם אז די יארן זיינען באמת גוטע אנגעפילט מיט טוב, ואין טוב אלא תורה ומצוה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
...I hope that when you are unfortunately unable to go to shul, you still keep your learning sessions at home. This itself is a suggestion and a segulah so that you will soon be able to go to shul again and learn your lessons in public. Surely you know of the chassidic custom instituted by the Baal Shem Tov: one should serve Hashem blessed be He with joy. Through this one can accomplish more than through service in the opposite manner, because joy breaks all boundaries. And when this joy is as Hashem desires—in love of Hashem, love of Torah, and love of Israel—then the Almighty gives from His full, open, holy, and generous hand so that there is reason to be satisfied without any extra calculations.
I hope for good news from you—that your health has improved and you have resumed going to shul as is your good custom. I conclude with a blessing for long days and good years—which means two things: literally long healthy years, and that these years are truly good, filled with goodness; and there is no goodness except Torah and mitzvah.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that serving Hashem with joy—even when studying Torah at home—brings greater blessings and spiritual success. Joyful service opens new possibilities and draws down abundant goodness from Above.
