Section 599 - When the Second Night of Rosh Hashanah Falls on Motzaei Shabbos — 1 Subsection

1. On the second night of Rosh Hashanah, when it falls on Motzaei Shabbos, we say "V'todienu" before "V'titen Lanu," just as on other Yom Tov days that fall on Motzaei Shabbos.

And even though it mentions "the festival offering of the Regel," and Rosh Hashanah is neither a Chag nor a Regel—this does not matter.

Because the intent is not that today is a Regel, but rather it enumerates the order of the rectification of the gifts that the Holy One, blessed be He, gave us: "the sanctity of Shabbos, the honor of the festival, and the festival offering of the Regel," and so on.

And Kiddush is recited with the order of Yaknehaz, as on other Yom Tov days that fall on Motzaei Shabbos.
