עס האָט מיר געפרייט צו באַקומען די ידיעה וועגן דער פאָרשטייענדער יערלעכער חגיגה ט"ז אייר הבע"ל, ויהי רצון אַז עס זאָל זיין מיט דער גרעסטער הצלחה אין אַלע הינזיכטן.
דער
חודש אייר, ווי עס איז שוין וועגן דעם גערעדט געוואָרן, טיילט זיך אויס פון די אַנדערע חדשים פון יאָר דערמיט וואָס יעדער טאָג פון דעם חודש האָט אַ ספּעציעלע מצוה – די מצוה פון ספירת העומר.
אין צוזאַמענהאַנג דערמיט איז כדאי צו אונטערשטרייכן צוויי נקודות:
ערשטנס, אַז כאָטש אפילו אין געוויסע הינזיכטן איז פאַראַן אַן אונטערשייד אין די טעג פון דער וואָך און פון חודש – וואָכנטעג, שבת, ערב ראש-חודש, ראש-חודש וכו' – זיינען זיי אָבער אַלע גלייך אין דעם וואָס

טעג, אָן אויסנאַם, דאַרפן זיין אָנגעפילט מיט קדושה – די קדושה פון תורה און מצוות אין אַלע פרטים פון טאָג-טעגלעכן לעבן. דאָס ווערט אונטערגעשטראָכן אין דער ברכה פון ספירת העומר

צווייטנס, כאָטש מ'האָט שוין מקיים געווען די מצוה דעם פריערדיגן טאָג, איז מען מקיים די מצוה דעם צווייטן טאָג, און דריטן טאָג, און יעדן טאָג – מיט דער
זעלבער
טייערקייט און לעבעדיקייט, ווי צום ערשטן מאָל, און אדרבה, יעדן טאָג דאַרף גאָר צוקומען אַ הוספה אין דער לעבעדיקייט און באַגייסטערונג פונם קיום המצוה. און אַזוי איז דאָס אין אַלע ענינים פון תורה און מצוות, אין איינקלאַנג מיט דעם ציווי:
בכל
יום יהיו בעיניך כחדשים
– יעדן טאָג דאַרף אַ איד זיי אויפנעמען ווי זיי זיינען ערשט געגעבן געוואָרן ביים באַרג סיני.
אין אַנדערע ווערטער, דאָס מקיים זיין די מצוות אין טעגלעכן לעבן, טאָג-איין טאָג-אויס, טאָר ניט ווערן אַ

אנשים מלומדה, אַ געוואוינהייט אָן חיות און באַגייסטערונג. פאַרקערט, יעדן טאָג דאַרף מען דאָס דורכלעבן טיפער און העכער, לויט דעם ציווי:

פאַרשטייט זיך, אַז כדי צו דערגרייכן די דאָזיגע מדריגה, דאַרף אַ קינד באַקומען זיין תורה-טרייען חינוך פון דער פריסטער קינדווייז אָן, אין אַ מוסד חינוך און סביבה וועלכע זיינען דורכגעדרונגען מיט יראת השם און אהבת השם, וואָס דאַן ווערט מקויים די הבטחה:
חנוך
לנער על פי דרכו, גם כי יזקין לא יסור ממנה
– דערצי דעם אינגל אויף זיין ריכטיגען וועג, אפילו ווען ער וועט אַלט ווערן וועט ער זיך ניט אָפּקערן דערפון.
און דאָס ברענגט אונז צוריק צום מוסד חינוך "אהלי תורה", וואָס זיין אויפגאַבע איז צו געבן דעם ריכטיגען תורה-חינוך, לויט ווי אויבן דערמאָנט, און האָט ב"ה געהאַט גרויס הצלחה אין דעם. זיכער וועלן אַלע אָנטיילנעמער און פריינט פון דעם העכסט-וויכטיגען מוסד חינוך געבן אים זייער פולסטע שטיצע, ביד נדיבה, צו דערמעגלעכן אים אָנצוגיין און אויסברייטערן זיין חינוך טעטיקייט. און דער זכות וועט יעדן איינעם און אַלעמען ביישטיין צו באַקומען דעם אויבערשטנ'ס ברכות אין אַלץ וואָס מ'נוטיגט זיך, בגשמיות וברוחניות.

To all participants in the annual dinner for the Chinuch institution "Oholei Torah", may Hashem be upon them and grant them life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was pleased to receive the news about the upcoming annual celebration on the 9th of Iyar, may it be with the greatest success in every respect. The month of Iyar, as has already been discussed, is distinguished from other months of the year in that every day of this month has a special mitzvah—the mitzvah of Sefiras HaOmer.
In connection with this, it is worthwhile to emphasize two points: First, although in certain respects there are differences between days of the week and days of the month—weekday, Shabbos, Erev Rosh Chodesh, Rosh Chodesh, etc.—they are all equal in that every day, without exception, must be filled with holiness—the holiness of Torah and mitzvos in all details of daily life. This is underscored by the blessing recited for Sefiras HaOmer each day of this month: Asher Kidshanu B'Mitzvosav V'Tzivanu (Who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us).
Second, even though one already fulfilled the mitzvah on the previous day, one fulfills it again on the second day, and third day, and every day—with the same preciousness and vitality as if it were for the first time. In fact, each day should bring an increase in vitality and enthusiasm in fulfilling the mitzvah. This applies to all matters of Torah and mitzvos, in accordance with the instruction: B'Chol Yom Yihyu B'Einecha K'Chadashim (Each day they should be new in your eyes)—every Jew should approach them as if they were just given at Mount Sinai.
In other words, fulfilling mitzvos in daily life—day in and day out—should not become a mechanical habit devoid of vitality and enthusiasm. On the contrary: each day one should experience them more deeply and loftily according to the instruction: Ma'alin BaKodesh (We ascend in holiness).
It is understood that to reach this level a child must receive his Torah-true education from his earliest childhood—in an educational institution and environment permeated with awe of Hashem and love of Hashem. Then will be fulfilled the promise: Chanuch L'Na'ar Al Pi Darko; Gam Ki Yazkin Lo Yasur Mimena (Educate a child according to his way; even when he grows old he will not depart from it)—educate a boy on his proper path so that even when he grows old he will not turn away from it.
This brings us back to Oholei Torah educational institution whose mission is to provide true Torah education as mentioned above—and has thank G‑d achieved great success in this. Surely all participants and friends of this most important educational institution will give it their fullest support generously so it can continue and expand its educational activities.
This merit will stand by each individual and everyone to receive Hashem's blessings in everything needed—both materially and spiritually.
