איינער פון די הויפּט שטריכן, וועלכע כאַראַקטעריזירן ביידע גאולות, איז די ראָלע פון חינוך פון אידישע קינדער.
די גאולה פון פורים איז – ווי
אונזערע
חכמים זכרונם לברכה דערציילן – געווען פאַרבונדן דערמיט וואָס מרדכי האָט פאַרזאַמלט אידישע קינדער און האָט מיט זיי געלערנט תורה, און אין אַן אופן וואָס האָט דערוועקט אין זיי די גרעסטע מסירת-נפש פאַר תורה און מצוות.
אויך די גאולה פון פסח איז געווען פאַרבונדן מיט אידישע קינדער, קעגן וועמען פרעה האָט ספּעציעל געצילט מיט זיין גזירה

פון אידישע מאַמעס, איז אויפגעשטעלט געוואָרן אַ נייער דור קינדער, וועלכע זיינען געווען די ערשטע צו דערקענען דעם אויבערשטן, אויסרופנדיג –

– "דער איז מיין ג-ט!"
אויב אין יענע צייטן, ווען דער חינוך פון אידישע קינדער איז געווען פאַרבונדן מיט די גרעסטע געפאַרן, האָבן אידישע פירער און עלטערן זיך מוסר-נפש געווען פאַר תורה-טרייען חינוך, וויסנדיג אַז דאָס עקזיסטענץ פון אידישן פאָלק איז אָפּהענגיג דערפון – על אחת כמה וכמה ווען מיר לעבן אין אומשטענדן וואָס פאָדערן ניט פון אַ אידן איינצושטעלן ח"ו זיין לעבן אויף דעם, נאָר בלויז אַ פעסטן ווילן און אַ גרייטקייט אָפּגעבן פאַר דעם אַ טייל פון זיין צייט, מי און געלט. ווי גערן און גליקלעך אַ איד דאַרף זיך פילן וואָס ער קען מיט אַ פאַרהעלטניסמעסיג ביסעלע – אויפטאָן אַזוי פיל!
און אַן עיקר איז, אַז דער חינוך זאָל זיין אין דעם גייסט פון פורים און פסח – אַ תורה-טרייען חינוך אין דער מאַקסימאַלסטער מאָס, אַזוי אַז דער יונגער דור זאָל מיט דער טיפסטער איבערצייגונג קענען זאָגן:

החוקים והמשפטים
, און באַאיינפלוסן און באַגייסטערן אויך די וועלכע זיינען נאָך ניט אין דעם צושטאַנד.
און דאָס איז דאָך דער חינוך וואָס די ליובאַוויטשער ישיבה אין מאָנטרעאַל גיט אירע תלמידים. זי פאַרדינט דעריבער די פולסטע שטיצע פון אַלע תורה-פריינד, ניט נאָר צו באַפרייען איר פון דער לאַסט פון חובות, נאר געבן די מעגלעכקייט אָנצופירן איר הייליגע אַרבעט בהרחבה, להגדיל תורה ולהאדירה.
איך באַגריס אַלע אָנטיילנעמער אין דער מסיבה, בפרט די געערטע נציבים און עסקנים, שיחיו, און האָף און וויל זיין זיכער, אַז יעדער איינער און איינע וועלן טאָן אַלץ וואָס עס איז פון זיי אָפּהענגיג, כדי אַז די אונטערנעמונג זאָל זיין מיט גרויס הצלחה אין אַלע הינזיכטן.

To the 30th annual gathering of the "Netzivei HaYeshivah" Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Montreal, may Hashem be upon them for life.
Shalom u'Vrachah!
In these days that connect the months of Adar and Nisan, we stand under the impression of their shared point—the concept of redemption: the redemption of Purim and the redemption of Pesach.
One of the main features characterizing both redemptions is the role of educating Jewish children. The redemption of Purim—as our Sages of blessed memory recount—was connected to Mordechai gathering Jewish children and learning Torah with them in a way that awakened in them the greatest self-sacrifice for Torah and mitzvos.
The redemption of Pesach was also connected with Jewish children, against whom Pharaoh specifically targeted his decree: "Kol HaBen HaYilod HaYeorah Tashlichuhu" (Every newborn boy you shall throw into the river). Yet thanks to the self-sacrifice of Jewish mothers, a new generation was established—children who were first to recognize Hashem, proclaiming: "Zeh Keili" (This is my G‑d)!
If in those times, when educating Jewish children involved great dangers, Jewish leaders and parents gave their lives for Torah-true education—knowing that the existence of our people depended on it—how much more so today, when circumstances do not demand risking one's life but only a firm will and readiness to give some time, effort, and money.
How happy and fortunate a Jew should feel that with relatively little he can accomplish so much! And most importantly: this education should be in the spirit of Purim and Pesach—a Torah-true education to its fullest extent—so that the younger generation can say with deepest conviction: "Zeh Keili," "V'Zos HaTorah," and "Eileh HaChukim VeHaMishpatim" (This is my G‑d; This is the Torah; And these are the statutes and laws), influencing and inspiring even those not yet at this level.
This is indeed the education provided by the Lubavitch Yeshiva in Montreal. Therefore it deserves full support from all friends of Torah—not only to free it from debt but to enable it to expand its holy work: to increase Torah and glorify it.
I greet all participants at this gathering—especially the esteemed Netzivim and activists—and hope and am confident that each one will do everything within their power so that this undertaking will be greatly successful in every respect.
