מזמן לזמן מקבל אני ידיעות אודותיו ופעולותיו על ידי ידידנו הנכבד הרב יהודא ליב שי' רסקין, ולאחרונה גם הבשורה טובה שהנהיגו להודיע בעיתון על דבר זמן הדלקת הנרות בערב שבת קודש ומוצאי שבת.
ובודאי לדכוותי' לא נצרך להסביר גודל זכות הרבים בכלל, ובפרט בנוגע למצוות שמירת שבת, וכמבואר בכמה מקומות בתורתנו הק' גודל ענין שמירת שבת, שהיא

Shalom u'Vrachah!
From time to time I receive updates about you and your activities through our esteemed friend Rabbi Yehuda Leib Ras'kin, and recently also the good news that you have instituted announcing in the newspaper the time for candle lighting on Erev Shabbat Kodesh and Motzaei Shabbat.
Certainly, I do not need to explain to you the great merit of benefiting the public in general, and especially regarding the mitzvah of Shabbat observance. As explained in several places in our holy Torah, the greatness of Shabbat observance is that it is the source of blessing for all days of the week; that is, it affects every aspect of a Jew's life.
May it be G‑d's will that for many years you will be able to continue spreading traditional Judaism, and so too your wife in her field. May it be fulfilled among you and all our Jewish brethren—"LaYehudim hayta orah v'simchah v'sasson v'yikar" (For the Jews there was light and gladness and joy and honor), as we read in the Megillah.
