Since I have merited to receive the letters of my revered father-in-law of blessed memory, this is the first to come forth—his notes on Sefer HaTanya. And based on our relationship in general, and especially regarding such matters, I am enclosing here one of the very first copies, which I am certain will interest you for several reasons—especially since the list printed as an introduction at the beginning of the book I handed to you personally during your visit here, which I remember in detail, including what was said.
As we are now in days about which it was promised that they will be transformed into joy and gladness, may it be G‑d's will that this happen very soon, with true happiness and a good heart.
With esteem, respect and blessing to fully utilize your stay by "still waters" (as explained by my father-in-law the Admor HaTzt"z on Tehillim 23:2), and with happiness and good heart.
