נבהלתי להידיעה מפטירת יצחק בן שניאור זלמן זכרונו לברכה. תהא נשמתו צרורה בצרור החיים ותהא לה עלי' על-ידי הליכת בניו וילידיהם שיחיו בדרך החיים תורתנו תורת חיים מתאים למסורת המשפחה והרי זה הנצחת שמו וזכרון הכי מתאימה.

Just now the telegram was sent from the Lubavitcher Rebbe shlita, and for added emphasis here is the text of the telegram: I was shocked to hear of the passing of Yitzchak ben Shneor Zalman, of blessed memory. May his soul be bound in the bond of life, and may there be an elevation for him through his sons and their offspring walking in the path of life—our Torah, a Torah of life—in accordance with the family's tradition. This is the most fitting way to perpetuate his name and memory. With honor. M. Schneersohn
