בשם כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א הננו לאשר קבלת מכתבו בקשר לועידה הארצית השני' למען השבת העתידה להתקיים בימי כ"ג-כ"ד אייר הבע"ל.
ברכת כ"ק אדמו"ר שליט"א שלוחה למארגנים ולכל המשתתפים אשר חפץ ה' בידם יצליח לחזק שמירת השבת, שהוא הכרחי וחיוני בכל מקום וביתר שאת וביתר עז בארצנו הקדושה, אשר

עיני ה"א בה מראשית השנה ועד אחרית שנה.
ובודאי למותר להאריך בגודל חשיבות שמירת שבת ששקולה כנגד כל המצוות,

חכמינו ז"ל. ורואים גם במוחש אשר גדול כוחה של שבת קודש להמשיך מקדושתה בחיי איש ואשה הישראליים במשך ימות החול שלאחרי' והי' גם חול זה לקודש.
ואם האמור בתקפו המלא בכל התקופות, על אחת כמה וכמה בימינו אלה אשר כל בני ישראל בכל מקום שהם זקוקים לתוספת ברכה מהשי"ת שומר ישראל, שהרי סגולה מיוחדת למצות שבת,
וכפירוש
חכמינו ז"ל שבת שמשבית מזיקין מן העולם, ואף שנאמר זה בנוגע ליום השבת הכללי בביאת משיח צדקנו, אבל מובן מזה ג"כ שמעין ודוגמא לזה הוא בכל שבת ושבת.
ומכאן תשובה ג"כ לאותם הטועים, או עכ"פ מטעים אחרים, לומר אשר שמירת שבת הוא אך ורק ענין פרטי של כל אחד ואחת ואין להתערב להשתדל ולהתעסק בזה וכולי. וכידוע הדוגמא בנוגע לכל ענין של תורה ומצות, שמעשה בלתי רצוי של איש ואשה היהודים, אף כי בחייהם הפרטיים, הרי זה בדוגמת אנשים רבים השטים בספינה המטולטלת בים של מים זדונים והים הולך וגועש, שכל הנוקב חור בתאו ובד"א "שלו" בהספינה מסכן את הרבים, והנמשל מובן.
ויהי רצון אשר בקרוב ממש נראה ונזכה,

In the name of Kvod Kedushas Admor shlita we hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter regarding the upcoming second national conference for Shabbos to be held on the days of 23-24 Iyar, G‑d willing.
The blessing of Kvod Kedushas Admor shlita is sent to the organizers and all participants: May it be G‑d's will that their efforts succeed in strengthening Shabbos observance—which is essential and vital everywhere, and with even greater strength in our holy land, upon which the eyes of Hashem are always from the beginning of the year to its end.
Certainly there is no need to elaborate on the great importance of Shabbos observance, which is equal to all mitzvos—as our Sages say. It is also evident in practice how great is the power of Shabbos Kodesh to draw from its holiness into the lives of Jewish men and women throughout the weekdays that follow it—so that even these weekdays become holy.
If this applies in full force at all times, how much more so in our days when all Jews everywhere need extra blessing from Hashem Who guards Israel. There is a special segulah (spiritual property) to the mitzvah of Shabbos—as our Sages explain: "Shabbos removes harmful forces from the world." Although this was said regarding the universal day of Shabbos with the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu, it is understood that every single Shabbos contains a reflection and example of this.
This also serves as an answer to those who err—or mislead others—by claiming that Shabbos observance is merely a private matter for each individual and one should not intervene or involve oneself in it. As is well known regarding every matter of Torah and mitzvos: an undesirable act by any Jewish man or woman—even if only in their private life—is like many people traveling together on a ship tossed about on stormy waters; if one person makes a hole under his own seat or cabin he endangers everyone—the analogy is clear.
May it be G‑d's will that very soon we will see and merit—in our Sages' words—that when Israel observes Shabbos properly they are immediately redeemed.
