זה עתה נתקבלו ב' חוברות גליונות, מחודש סיון תשכ"ו ותשכ"ח, בצירוף מכתבו. ובטח ישלח גם שאר החוברות ככתבו במכתבו, ותודה רבה מראש.
כיון שכל ענין בהשגחה פרטית, ארשה לעצמי לעורר על דבר התפקיד האחראי ורב החשיבות שיש למר בתור עורך גליונות אלו, הנקראים על ידי כמה וכמה מנוער בני ישראל, אשר על כל אחד ואחד מהם אמרו חכמינו

אשר נפש אחת מישראל הריהו עולם מלא. ואפילו כשהחומר נכתב על ידי אחרים, הרי הרבה תלוי בהעריכה בחסר ויתר וכיו"ב, ובעיקר לעורר את המתאימים לזה לכתוב בשטח המתאים ובאופן הרצוי. ואפילו אם מישהו בא ואומר שאין ברשותו של העורך לשנות יותר מדי, הנה אם הדברים נוגעים בערכים האמתיים של עמינו בני ישראל, זאת אומרת המיוסדים על הערכת תורתנו תורת אמת והוראות שלה, הרי בודאי שמתפקידו של העורך לפרסם דברי אמת ולשלול דברים שהם היפך האמת, ובפרט כשהמדובר בגליונות של הנוער, זאת אומרת אלה העומדים בתקופת החינוך והעיצוב של צורתם ותכונת נפשם לשנים יבואו במשך כל החיים.
מובן שידועה הטענה שבמשטר דימוקרטי יש לכל אחד רשות לעמוד על דעתו וכולי, אבל אין זה מצדיק סיוע לפרסום ענינים שהם היפך תורת אמת ומצותי' הנתונות מאלקים אמת.
ועל פי האמור, שהכל בהשגחה פרטית מבורא עולם ומנהיגו, בודאי שביחד עם תפקיד, ובפרט תקפיד חשוב ורציני,

גם הכוחות והאפשריות למלא התפקיד ובשלימותו, ולא עוד אלא גם בדרכי נועם, שהם דרכי התורה,
וכמו
שנאמר דרכי' דרכי נועם.

Just now I received two issues of the journals from Sivan 5726 and 5728, along with your letter. Certainly you will also send the other issues as you wrote in your letter, and thank you very much in advance.
Since everything happens by Divine Providence, I allow myself to raise the matter of the responsible and highly important role you have as editor of these journals, which are read by many Jewish youth. Our Sages said that every Jewish soul is a whole world. Even when material is written by others, much depends on editing—what is omitted or included—and especially on encouraging suitable people to write in appropriate areas and in the desired manner.
Even if someone claims that the editor does not have much authority to change things, if it concerns the true values of our people—those based on our Torah of Truth and its instructions—it is certainly the editor's duty to publish words of truth and reject those that are contrary to truth. This is especially so regarding youth journals—those who are at a formative stage in their education and character for years to come throughout their lives.
It is understood that there is an argument that in a democratic regime everyone has a right to their opinion, etc., but this does not justify assisting in publicizing matters that are contrary to Torah truth and its commandments given by the True G‑d.
Based on what was said—that everything is by Divine Providence from the Creator and Leader of the world—it is certain that together with a role, especially one so important and serious, comes also the strength and ability to fulfill it completely. Moreover, this can be done pleasantly—the ways of Torah are pleasant—as it says: Deracheha Darchei Noam ("Her ways are ways of pleasantness").
With honor and blessing for good news in all the above matters, and with blessings for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year.
