At the appropriate time I received your letter from May 16th and was waiting for the arrival of the two books you mentioned, expecting they would arrive any day. In fact, they only arrived these past days (perhaps due to the strike that took place in France), and I hasten to confirm their receipt.
At the same time, I want to express my wish that you—and Jews in general—should from now on be able to print and spread only good news, both in general and regarding individuals, and to do so with good health and a positive spirit. Of course this includes good news about your family as well.
Especially since we are coming from the days of Yud-Beis–Yud-Gimmel Tammuz—the redemption at that time of Chof-Kuf Mo Ches Admor—which is surely a story known to you. You also know that for Jews—a stiff-necked people—a day of merit and redemption connected with a one-time event has an ongoing effect; it remains so and is regarded as a special day each year.
