מקבל אני מפעם לפעם פ"ש מכ' על ידי הרב אפרים שי' וואָלף וגם מכמה מאנשינו בלוד וכן בכפר חב"ד על דבר התענינותו ועזרתו לכל עניני חב"ד, עד שגם על חבריו שי' השפיע בכיוון האמור.
ולזאת נצטערתי ביחוד לשמוע שמצב בריאותו לא הי' בסדר, אף שתקותי שלעת קבלת מכתבי זה כבר הוטב וחזר לעבודתו בעיר ואֵם בישראל העיר לוד, לטובת העיר ויושבי', טובה בגשם וברוח גם יחד. שאם אצל כל אדם הגשם והרוח קשורים זה בזה, הרי אצל יהודי הוא בהדגשה של

הרוח על הגשם והצורה על החומר.
ובודאי ישמחני להודיע לי על הטבת בריאותו בפרטיות.
אתו רב הסליחה שנתעכב אישור קבלת מכתבו, יותר נכון העתק מכתבו על ידי הרב וואָלף שי', שנתעכב מפני סיבות בלתי תלויות בי, והעיקר מפני שלא הי' בידי דבר ממשי בנוגע לענין התעשי' אודותיו דברנו בשיחתנו בהיות מר כאן. וכפי שמסרתי גם כן על ידי הרב וואָלף. ובודאי לעת קבלת מכתבי כבר ביקר את מר העסקן החרוץ מר אברהם שי' פּרשן
ודבר אתו בנוגע לענין התעשי'. ויהי רצון שסוף סוף יבוא הענין לידי פועל לתועלת הרבים, נוסף על תועלת כמה יחידים שיתעסקו בזה.

I receive from time to time reports about you through Rabbi Ephraim Wolf and also from several of our people in Lod and in Kfar Chabad regarding your interest and assistance in all Chabad matters, to the extent that you have influenced your friends as well in this direction.
Therefore I was especially saddened to hear that your health was not in order, although I hope that by the time you receive this letter you have already recovered and returned to your work in the city and as a mother in Israel in the city of Lod—for the benefit of the city and its inhabitants—good both materially and spiritually together. For if with every person the material and spiritual are connected with each other, then with a Jew it is emphasized that the spiritual dominates over the material and form over substance. Certainly it will make me happy if you inform me about your improved health in detail.
I ask much forgiveness for the delay in acknowledging receipt of your letter—or more precisely, a copy of your letter through Rabbi Wolf—which was delayed due to reasons beyond my control, mainly because I did not have anything concrete regarding the industrial matter we discussed during your visit here. As I also conveyed through Rabbi Wolf. Surely by now you have already visited Mr. Avraham Parshan, the diligent activist, and spoken with him regarding the industrial matter. May it be G‑d's will that ultimately this matter will come to fruition for the benefit of many people, in addition to benefiting several individuals who will be involved with it.
Our Sages of blessed memory taught us that merit is brought about on a meritorious day—these days before Purim when we recall once again and with emphasis the well-known phrase: Shekol Kovecha (in Hashem) lo yevoshu velo yikalmu lanetzach kol hachosim bach ("All who place their hope in You will never be shamed or disgraced forever; all who take refuge in You"), preceded by: Sheteshuasam hayita lanetzach vetikvasam bechol dor vador ("You were their salvation forever and their hope in every generation"). And indeed even now we need all this. May it be G‑d's will that just as it was then so too now we should see the frustration of all those who plot evil against Jews and the nullification of their plans—and from redemption to redemption: redemption for the community and individual through Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
