ה' חנוכה הזכרתים – היום עה"צ.

B"H, Sunday, Eve of Rosh Chodesh Teves, fifth day of Chanukah, 5728.

May it be His will that there be peace and blessing! May it be in such a way that it brings forth fruits and fruits of fruits, etc., until the end of the entire world (from the word "he'elem"—as explained in Da Ha), and until—"VeNiglah Kevod Havayah VeRa'u Kol Basar Yachdav Ki Pi Havayah Diber" ("And the glory of Hashem will be revealed and all flesh will see together that the mouth of Hashem has spoken")—and speedily in our days. And these are truly auspicious days—days when Hashem will illuminate darkness—in a manner that increases ever more: eight days of Chanukah, eight princes among men—Yishai and Shaul, etc.—Mashiach and Eliyahu (see Tosefta Sukkah 4:6; see also Zohar I:219a). The fifth day of Chanukah—I have mentioned them today (see Igros Kodesh vol. 20 p. 190).

Summary

This letter teaches that Chanukah is a time to increase light and holiness in ever-expanding ways, leading toward the ultimate revelation of G‑dliness in the world. Our actions during these days can bring about spiritual fruits that reach every corner of existence.
