ובודאי אשר הלימוד מביא לידי מעשה, קיום המצות בהידור, כהוראת חכמנו ז"ל.
וכן ע"ד המסיבות לכבוד התורה ועניני' בסיום מסכת וביום סגולה ובשורה, הוא י"ט כסלו.
ויהי רצון אשר האמור יפעול בו ובחבריו שי' לתוספת מרץ וללכת מחיל אל חיל בעניני תורה (נגלה וחסידות) ומצוותי', ועד אשר יהיו נרות להאיר בסביבתם הקרובה וגם הרחוקה, וכל אחד מהם, שיוסיף בהאמור, הרי הובטחנו שמוסיפין לו (בברכת השם בהמצטרך).
בטח ימסור את האמור לחבריו שי' בישיבה, והובטחנו, אשר דברים היוצאים מן הלב נכנסים אל לב השומע ופועלים פעולתם.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 13th of Teves, with the good news regarding your progress in learning our holy Torah, the Torah of Life. Certainly, this learning leads to action—fulfilling mitzvos with extra care—as our Sages of blessed memory instruct.
Similarly regarding gatherings in honor of the Torah and its matters at a siyum masechta and on a special and auspicious day—which is Yud Tes Kislev.
May it be G‑d’s will that what was mentioned will inspire you and your friends shiyichyu to add enthusiasm and go from strength to strength in matters of Torah (both revealed and Chassidus) and its mitzvos. Until you become candles that illuminate both your close and distant surroundings. And each one who adds in these matters is assured that more will be added to him (with Hashem’s blessing in all that is needed).
Surely you will convey this to your friends shiyichyu in yeshivah. And we are assured that words which come from the heart enter the heart of the listener and have their effect.
