ברוח דחודש כסלו שנכנסו בו היום, שתוכנו, ובפרט בשביל חסידים ואנ"ש שי', הוא הענין די"ט כסלו, יו"ד כסלו וימי החנוכה, שהצד השוה שבהם מסירות נפש להפצת נר מצוה ותורה אור - ואור השמן שהאיר באופן נסי, ונקודתם המשותפת הרי היא - ויפוצו מעינותיך חוצה באופן דופרצת מוסיף והולך מוסיף ואור -
הנני שולח לכ' מפירסומי צעירי אגודת חב"ד בשטח פעילותם בין חוגי הסטודנטים.
ואף שהעבודה האמורה נמשכת כבר מזמן, חכיתי עד שתגיע לשלב של התפתחות הראוי' לשמה. ועתה שהצליחה העבודה וגם עשתה פרי, ולמעלה מן המשוער, אמרתי להביאה לתשומת לב כ', שבודאי יגרום לו נחת רוח.
ואמנם יש בזה סיפוק גדול לראות התפתחות שדה פעולה נרחב, והעיקר שרואים גם בעיני בשר איך שמתאמתת הבטחת אדמו"ר הזקן (תניא ספל"ט) ועד כדי כך שהביאה הלכה למעשה בהל' ת"ת פ"ד סוס"ג, דבל ידח ממנו נידח כפשוטו ממש, זאת אומרת אפילו כאלו שהיו נידחים במלוא מובן המלה והיו רחוקים בתכלית הריחוק, מתקרבים (וכעת - בהשפעת חב"ד) קירוב הדוק ועד כדי תחי' ממש ושינוי מהקצה אל הקצה בחיי היום-יום.

In the spirit of the month of Kislev that we have entered today—whose essence, especially for Chassidim and Anash, is connected to Yud Tes Kislev, Yud Kislev, and the days of Chanukah—the common thread among them is self-sacrifice for spreading Ner Mitzvah v'Torah Or (the candle of mitzvah and light of Torah), and the miraculous oil that shone. Their shared point is "U'faratzta" (you shall spread out), increasing and adding more light. Therefore, I am sending you some publications from Tzeirei Agudas Chabad regarding their activities among student circles.
Although this work has been ongoing for some time, I waited until it reached a stage of development worthy of its name. Now that the work has succeeded and even borne fruit beyond expectations, I wanted to bring it to your attention, as it will surely give you satisfaction.
Indeed, there is great satisfaction in seeing such broad development in this field of activity—and most importantly, we see with our own eyes how the promise of Admor HaZaken (Tanya ch. 39) is being fulfilled to the extent that it has become practical halachah in Hilchot Talmud Torah ch. 4 s.v. "so that no one will be cast away," literally—meaning even those who were truly distant are now being drawn close (now through Chabad's influence), with a strong connection leading to actual revival and a complete turnaround in their daily lives.
With honor and esteem and with wishes for all good as we approach the days of redemption and Chanukah coming upon us and all Israel for good.
