למרות רצוני להפגש עמו פא"פ, ובפרט אחרי נאומו על מדע ודת, לא אסתייע מילתא מרוב הטרדות, ונתקיים אצלי דבר משנה אל תאמר לכשאפנה אשנה כו'. ועכ"פ אודה לו בכתב בעד שלחו לי העתק נאומו הנ"ל. עד התראותינו פא"פ סו"ס כתקותי חזקה.
עיקר מכתבי, כמובן, להביע לו ברכה והצלחה לרגלי קבלתו כתב רבנות בבית הכנסת שלו, ומצורף בזה העתק מכתבי לנשיא בית הכנסת במענה על ההזמנה.
ויהי רצון שינצל חילו באורייתא לנהל עדתו על מי מנוחות, ולהפיץ היהדות המסורתית בלי פשרות בקהלתו בכלל, ובתוככי הנוער בפרט ובכל מקום שידו מגעת.
ולמותר להאריך לדכוותי' בצורך החיוני בזה, בפרט בימינו אלה.
ויעשה כ"ז מתוך שמחה וחירות אמתית מכל מצרים וגבולים ומכל ענינים המבלבלים עבודת השם בשמחה וטוב לבב, כענין ימי חג הפסח זמן חרותינו הבא עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה.

Despite my desire to meet with you face to face, especially after your speech on science and religion, it was not possible due to many preoccupations, and the saying from the Mishnah was fulfilled for me: "Do not say: When I have leisure I will study..." Nevertheless, I thank you in writing for sending me a copy of your aforementioned speech. Until we meet face to face at last as I strongly hope.
The main purpose of my letter, of course, is to express my blessing and wishes for success upon your acceptance of the rabbinic position at your synagogue. Enclosed is a copy of my letter to the president of the synagogue in response to the invitation.
May it be G‑d's will that you use your strength in Torah to lead your congregation beside still waters and spread traditional Judaism uncompromisingly throughout your community in general and especially among the youth and wherever your influence reaches. It is unnecessary to elaborate to you about the vital need for this, especially in our times.
May you do all this with joy and true freedom from all limitations and boundaries and from anything that confuses serving Hashem with joy and gladness of heart—as is connected with the days of Pesach, the season of our freedom that is approaching us and all Israel for good.
With honor and blessings for a kosher and joyous Pesach.
