לאחרי הפסק ארוך, נתקבל מכתבו מח' טבת, ולאחריו ולפלא גדול על ההפסק ממכתב אחד לשני, והרי בודאי עוררוהו מהמזכירות ועוד על גודל הענין שבעתים יותר תכופות תתקבלנה כאן ידיעות דו"ח מהפעולות - עכ"פ ע"ש המזכירות ועכ"פ בקיצור, ומלבד שזהו נוגע להענינים כאן, הנה במדה לא פחותה פועל זה על מהלך הפעולות המרץ שבהם וכו' וכמדובר וכמבואר בכו"כ פעמים, וכמדומה גם בהמכתב שקבל הוא.
וכיון שאמרו חז"ל אין צועקין על העבר יהי רצון שמכאן ולהבא יהי' מסודר ככל הדרוש. ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.

After a long pause, your letter from the 8th of Tevet was received, and it is quite surprising that there was such a gap between one letter and the next. Surely you were reminded by the secretariat, and furthermore, you know how important it is to receive updates here more frequently—at least through the secretariat and at least briefly. Besides its relevance to matters here, it equally affects the progress and enthusiasm of your activities, as has been discussed and explained many times, I believe also in the letter you received. And since our Sages said: "We do not cry over the past," may it be G‑d's will that from now on everything will be arranged as needed. Nothing stands in the way of will.
