Students of the Evening Yeshiva in Jerusalem, the Holy City may it be rebuilt and established, may Hashem be upon them and grant them life.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the days of preparation this year, which is a Shabbos Shabbaton for Hashem. Its content was about the good resolutions accepted by the yeshiva students regarding Torah and its mitzvos.

May it be His will that Hashem fulfill the desires of your hearts for good in this matter and even more.

Certainly, as I have written to many yeshiva students—especially those in Chabad yeshivos—you will do all that depends on you to serve as a living example appropriate to these regulations, and generally to inspire yeshiva students in the spirit of chassidus, as is the will of our Rebbeim. There is nothing that stands in the way of willpower—especially since our Sages have assured us: "HaBa L'Taher Mesay'in Oso" (One who comes to purify himself is assisted), and "Adam Mekadesh Atzmo Me'at Lematah Mekadshin Oso Harbeh Lema'alah" (When a person sanctifies himself a little below, he is sanctified greatly from Above).
