... נעם לי לקרות בו אודות קביעות לימוד דא"ח ברבים, וכן אשר משתדל בהפצת דא"ח בכמה אופנים, ובודאי לא יסתפק בזה, שהרי בכל הענינים נצטוינו להעלות בקודש, ובפרט בקודש הקדשים, פנימיות התורה, שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
במ"ש שהתחיל ללמוד תניא עם כתה של מבוגרים והתחיל בפרק הראשון בספר תניא - הראה הנסיון, שבהנוגע לכמה סוגים, מצליחים יותר, כשמתחילים בחלק ב' דתניא או אגרת התשובה, ואחריהם - חלק א', אף שכמובן א"א לקבוע בזה מסמרות, וילמוד אדם במקום שלבו חפץ.

... It pleased me to read about your regular public study of Chassidus, as well as your efforts in spreading Chassidus in various ways. Certainly you will not be satisfied with this alone, for in all matters we are commanded to ascend in holiness—especially regarding the Holy of Holies, the inner dimension of Torah, which in our generation has been revealed through the teachings of Chassidus. There is nothing that stands before one's will.
Regarding what you wrote about beginning to learn Tanya with a class of adults and starting from the first chapter—experience has shown that for certain groups it is more successful to begin with Part II of Tanya or Iggeres HaTeshuvah, and afterwards return to Part I. Of course, it is impossible to set a fixed rule for this; a person should study where his heart desires.
Summary
The Rebbe encourages continual growth in spreading Chassidus and suggests flexible approaches when teaching Tanya to adults—sometimes beginning with later sections may be more effective. Each individual should learn where they feel most drawn.
