זה זמן רב ביותר שלא נתקבלו מהם כל ידיעות. ותקותי חזקה שאין זה אלא חסרון בכתיבה לכאן, אבל נעשות כל הפעולות ובאופן דהוספה מזמן לזמן, והוספה בהוספה עצמה. ז.א. ע"ד מאמר רז"ל מי שיש לו מנה רוצה מאתיים, הוספה של מנה בלבד, אבל מי שיש לו מאתיים, רוצה ארבע מאות, הוספה של מאתיים, וק"ל.
ויהי רצון שינצלו את ההשפעה מלמעלה בכל ענינים אלו במילואה וכידוע הפסק דין של מעלה, אשר בגלל המסירות נפש הלזו (של רבינו הזקן) על תורת החסידות, פסקו בבית דין של מעלה, אשר בכל ענין של תורה יראת שמים ומדות טובות, תהי' יד מקושריו והולכי בעקבותיו על העליונה.
והרי זהו ג"כ הצנור והכלי לעניניהם להצלחתם בלימוד תורה ביראת שמים ובקיום המצות בהידור, ובזה [...] בעבודת התפלה של כאו"א, פנימיות הפעולות הכי נעלות.

It has been a very long time since I have received any news from you. My strong hope is that this is only due to a lack of writing here, but that all activities are being carried out—and even increased from time to time, with an increase within the increase itself. That is, as our Sages say: "One who has one hundred desires two hundred," which is an addition of only one hundred; but one who has two hundred desires four hundred—an addition of two hundred. And this is clear.
May it be G‑d's will that you utilize the influence from Above in all these matters to the fullest extent. As is well known, the ruling from Above was that because of this self-sacrifice (of our Alter Rebbe) for the teachings of Chassidus, it was decreed in the Heavenly Court that in every matter of Torah, fear of Heaven, and good character traits, his followers and those who walk in his path will prevail. And this is also the channel and vessel for your own matters—for success in Torah study with fear of Heaven and meticulous observance of mitzvos—and through this [...] in each individual's prayer service—the innermost aspect of the loftiest activities.
