Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from Thursday, in which you write about the education of your son... may he live, and the considerations involved: Since the decision depends on several factors, especially the nature of his soul, it is appropriate to consult about this matter with those who know your son and these details.

Indeed, in such cases, it is often specifically the parents who are not entirely objective in assessing their own children. The concern is not only that they might lean too far to the right, but sometimes—because of closeness—even the opposite can occur, as in "a person does not declare himself righteous," etc.

May it be G‑d's will—He Who watches over each individual with Divine Providence—that you decide in this matter truly for your son's good, both materially and spiritually.

And since everything is by Divine Providence, I am obligated (and privileged), as commanded by our holy teachers, to remind you of the necessity to set fixed times for studying the inner dimension of Torah—which in our generation has been revealed through Chassidus—establishing this daily and increasing it on Shabbat, which is sanctified to the L‑rd.
