בתודה קבלתי מכתבו מי"א אדר, ובודאי בינתים נתקבל ג"כ מברק השני שלי במענה על שאלתו במברקו.
בודאי יהנה לדעת שהכרוז בנוגע משלוח מנות ומתנות לאביונים מצא הד נכון ומתאים לדבר חכמינו ז"ל מעשה הוא העיקר. ומסתפינא לומר אשר כנראה כמה וכמה אלפים מהנוער קיימו מצוות אלו בפעם הראשונה בחייהם (הודות להתעוררות האמורה). ונפלא הדבר עד כמה לבן של ישראל ער הוא, אשר בהודעה בעלמא מקיימים דבר טוב, ומזה תוספת עידוד לכל אלו שהשפעה להם על הרבנים שאינם ח"ו כקול קורא במדבר גו', ואף שלפעמים, ואולי לפעמים תכופות, אין התוצאות נראות אל אתר, ואפילו לא לאחרי זמן, אבל בסגנון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר - חזקה לתעמולה שאינה חוזרת ריקם.
מובן וגם פשוט שלעת עתה במצות האמורות נקל יותר לעורר ועד לקיום בפועל ממש, מאשר במצות הקשורות בקשויים וכו', אבל בודאי שמצוה גוררת מצוה, מכשרת נפש המקיים שיהי' עכ"פ בנקל יותר לעוררו לקיום עוד מצות ועוד מצות.
בודאי שלדכוותי' דכת"ר הנמצא על אתר למותר להדגיש איך שהנ"ל יפה בעתו לפי המצב בהוה באה"ק ת"ו [העדר האחדות בצד השמאל ועד לממדים מבהילים, שעוה"פ מודגש בפועל אמתיות מה שנאמר אל תאמרו קשר גו', כי בודאי ובודאי שלקשר כזה אין קיום, ומה נעמו דברי רבינו הזקן בספר תניא קדישא פ' ל"ב]. תקותי חזקה שלא ימנע כת"ר הטוב להודיעני בהמשך להנ"ל וכן בכללות מהמצב ביהדות וכו' במחיצתו ובסביבתו.
ומענין לענין מעין אותו ענין, ימים אלו הגיעוני תמונות מס. פאולא ובהם מהשתתפות כת"ר במסיבת התועדות דיום הבשורה די"ט כסלו במוסד אהלי"י אשר שם.
כנראה מפני סיבה נתאחרה ידיעה זו ע"ע, ומגלגלין בשורה טובה ומשמחת לימים שמחים דחודש אדר בו מרבין בשמחה.

With thanks I received your letter from the 11th of Adar, and surely in the meantime you have also received my second telegram in response to your question in your telegram.
You will surely be pleased to know that the proclamation regarding mishloach manot and gifts to the poor found a strong resonance and fits our Sages' saying: action is what counts. I hesitate to say it seems that several thousands of youth fulfilled these mitzvos for the first time in their lives (thanks to this awakening).
It is wondrous how sensitive a Jewish heart is—that with just a simple announcement they fulfill something good. This gives added encouragement to all those who influence rabbis who are not, G‑d forbid, like a voice crying out in the wilderness; even though sometimes, perhaps often, results are not immediately visible—not even after some time—but as my father-in-law the Rebbe would say: it is certain that outreach does not return empty-handed.
It is clear and obvious that at present it is easier to inspire people regarding these particular mitzvos and even bring them to actual fulfillment than with mitzvos connected with difficulties, etc. But certainly one mitzvah brings another; it prepares the soul of the one who fulfills it so that at least it will be easier to inspire him to fulfill more mitzvos.
Certainly for your honor who is present on site there is no need to emphasize how timely this activity is according to the current situation in Eretz HaKodesh—[the lack of unity on the left side has reached alarming proportions; once again it is truly evident what was said: "Do not call everything a conspiracy," because certainly such a connection cannot endure. How pleasant are the words of our master in Tanya chapter 32].
I strongly hope you will not refrain from informing me further about this matter as well as about the general state of Judaism etc. in your surroundings.
On a related note: these days I received photos from St. Paula including your participation at the farbrengen on Yud-Tes Kislev at Oholei Yosef Yitzchak there. Apparently due to some reason this information was delayed until now; but good news comes at happy times—the month of Adar when we increase in joy.
With honor and blessing for only good news—good for Heaven, good for people, goodness that bears fruit—amid joy and gladness of heart.
