לאחרי הפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מיום החמישי, ולשאלתו מה ילמוד בהמעל"ע דיום הבהיר יום סגולה י"ט כסלו הבע"ל ראש השנה ללימוד החסידות ודרכי החסידות.
ע"פ תוכן יום זה מובן שהלימוד צ"ל בתורתו של בעל השמחה והגאולה, ז.א. תורת חסידות חב"ד, אם בספריו (כמו ספר התניא תורה אור ולקוטי תורה), או (ביחד עם הביאורים שנתוספו) במאמרים ושיחות של רבותינו נשיאינו זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
אלא שכיון שככל חלקי תורתנו תורת חיים, גדול תלמודה שמביא לידי מעשה צ"ל גם ההליכה בההדרכות וההנהגות של תורת החסידות.
ומהנכון וטוב ביותר שבמשך המעל"ע להשתדל להפיץ המעינות חוצה, שעקימת שפתיו הוה מעשה (זוטא) ולא להסתפק בזה כי אם גם שיהי' מעשה רבה, עשיית טובה לבני ישראל, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון. ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בכל האמור.

After the longest interruption, your letter from Thursday was received. Regarding your question about what to study at the farbrengen on the bright day, the auspicious day of Yud Tes Kislev that is approaching—the Rosh Hashanah for learning Chassidus and its ways—according to the content of this day it is understood that one should study the teachings of the Baal HaSimchah VeHaGeulah (the one whose joy and redemption we celebrate), meaning Chabad Chassidus: either from his books (such as Sefer HaTanya, Torah Or, and Likkutei Torah), or (together with added explanations) from the maamarim and sichos of our Rebbeim Nesi'einu zatzukal lehe nbagm zya (of blessed memory).
However, since all parts of our Torah are a Torah of life and "great is study for it leads to action," there must also be conduct according to the guidance and practices of Chassidus. It is proper and best that during this farbrengen one should strive to spread the wellsprings outward, for even moving one's lips is considered an act (albeit a small one), but one should not be satisfied with this alone; rather, it should also be a great act—doing good for fellow Jews. And nothing stands in the way of true will.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news in all the above.
