... לכתבו שיכול להיות נמצא במקום יותר טוב וכו' - הפלא גדול, שהרי מקרא מלא דבר הכתוב מה' מצעדי גבר כוננו, ודרכו יחפץ (עיין בהיום יום בזה). וגם ע"פ פשוט זיכתה אותו ההשגחה העליונה בעבוה"ק דלהוציא יקר מזולל וכו' שהוא יותר מישיבה בישיבה של מעלה (ב"מ פה, א. ומה מקום טוב יותר מזה), והוא מראה כאילו אינו שבע רצון ח"ו מזה?!

... To write that he could be in a better place, etc. – this is truly astonishing, for it is an explicit verse: 'Me'Hashem Mitzadei Gever Konanu, VeDarko Yachpatz' (From the L‑rd are a man's steps established, and He desires his way) (see Hayom Yom on this). And even simply speaking, Divine Providence has granted him the merit to serve in holy work – to bring forth the precious from the worthless, etc., which is greater than sitting in a yeshivah of higher status (see Bava Metzia 85a; and what place could be better than this?), and yet he acts as if he is not satisfied with this, G‑d forbid?!

The Rebbe teaches that one should recognize Divine Providence in their current situation and find satisfaction in fulfilling their unique mission where they are placed by G‑d.
