Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your first letter since your departure from here! The surprise and great wonder are understandable.
Regarding your question about settling in, it is clear that from here I can only provide general guidance. That is, it should be in matters of Chabad—Chabad institutions or Kfar Chabad in general—and in a way that utilizes your talents. As for which of the above to choose, this must be considered locally and discussed with friends, since a person is close to himself and does not always see his situation clearly as it is. May Hashem, Who watches over each individual with Divine Providence, guide you truly for good both materially and spiritually.
Concerning what you wrote about setting the wedding date: obviously both sides should discuss this together. My opinion has always been known—that it is not desirable to delay this for a long time. The sooner the better; may it be decided at an auspicious and successful time, and may it be with mazal tov—mazal tov.
Regarding your writing about reserving an apartment in the Chabad neighborhood—it's surprising that this is even a question, for surely it is the correct thing to do.
Summary
The Rebbe advises making decisions rooted in Chabad values while using one's unique abilities and seeking local counsel. He stresses not delaying marriage arrangements and affirms the importance of establishing a home within the Chabad community.
