מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מכ' טבת ופ"ש.
ונעם לי ביותר לקרות במכתבו מהצלחתו בהשפעתו על ארגוני הצעירים, ויהי רצון אשר הצלחתו עד עתה תעורר בו ובמושפעיו תוספת התאמצות לסיוע במוסדות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, וע"ד המבואר בטבע בני אדם, מי שיש לי מנה רוצה מאתים, ומי שיש לו מאתים רוצה ארבע מאות, שכמה פעמים ככה צריך להיות בענינים השייכים לרוחניות ולקדושה, ומובן וגם פשוט שהאמור יוסיף בברכות השי"ת גם בעניניו הפרטים.
ובאותו ענין, הרי בעת רצון מזכירו הנני על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע וגם לעתיד בל"נ אעשה כן, אבל כפי שמסרתי ע"י הרה"ח אי"א נו"נ רב פעלים מו"ה... רואים במוחש, אשר כשדוחקים את השעה לא תמיד מועיל זה, ואדרבה וכו', ואף שמובן הצער המביא לדחוק את השעה, ואין אדם נתפס על צערו, הרי אין המדובר בענינים של עונש ח"ו, אלא שטבע הסדרים כן הוא, ועד כמה שיש להשתמש במלת טבע בכגון דא, והרי כיון שנתבאר ענין זה בכ"מ איך שאין רצוי לדחוק השעה, בודאי שבכחו של האדם לעשות כן, ובפרט שרואים במוחש אשר דחיקת השעה פעל זה עליו בהעדר השמחה ובמילא גרעון בהמרץ וכו', שהרי זה גם הסברה בטבעי נפש הבהמית איך שאין רצוי הענין.
ויהי רצון שבקרוב ממש יבשר טוב, בטוב הנראה והנגלה גם בעניניו הפרטים, ובפרט שצודק בכתבו שזהו נוגע גם לענינים הכללים, וינצל הענין [ד]אתכפיא ושלא לדחוק השעה באופן של הרחבה אמיתית בגו"ר.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 20th of Teves and regards. I was very pleased to read in your letter about your success in influencing youth organizations, and may it be G‑d's will that your success until now will inspire you and those you influence to further strengthen your assistance to the institutions of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory. As explained regarding human nature: one who has one hundred desires two hundred, and one who has two hundred desires four hundred; how much more so should this apply to matters of spirituality and holiness. It is clear and simple that this will also increase G‑d's blessings in your personal matters.
On this topic: at an auspicious time I mention you at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, and I will do so again in the future without a vow. However, as I conveyed through Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n Rav Pe'alim ... it is evident that when one tries to force the timing, it does not always help; on the contrary, etc. Even though it is understandable that distress leads one to push for results—and a person is not held accountable for his pain—here we are not speaking about punishment G‑d forbid; rather, this is simply how things are ordered by nature. To whatever extent we can use the word 'nature' in such matters—it has already been explained elsewhere that it is not desirable to force the timing. Certainly a person has the ability not to do so—especially since we see clearly that forcing things leads to a lack of joy and therefore a decrease in enthusiasm, etc., which is also logical according to the natural tendencies of the animal soul as to why this is not desirable.
May it be G‑d's will that you will soon bring good news—good that is visible and revealed—even regarding your personal matters. Especially since you are correct in writing that this also affects general matters. May you utilize this situation for self-restraint (his-kafya) and avoid forcing outcomes—in a manner of true expansiveness with awe and love.
