אחרי ההפסק הכי ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מיום ד', בו כותב מעבודתו בקדש לדרוש בכל שבוע בעניני יהדות, ושואל איזה נקודות להדגיש בנוגע לכ"ק אדמו"ר הבעל שם טוב, בפרט שנמצאים אנו בשנת ה- 200 להסתלקות-הילולא שלו.
הנה בכלל תורת הבעש"ט תורה רחבה במאד, ונתבארה באר היטב בתורת חב"ד, שהרי בלשון כ"ק אדמו"ר מוהרש"ב - תורת חב"ד היא היא תורת הבעש"ט ז"ל (עיין העתק מאגרת קדש זו בתחילת היום יום, וכן במבוא לקונטרס ומעין).
ומה שנוגע ביחוד להדגיש הוא לשלול ולבטל הטעות, שיש מפיצין אותה בשוגג או גם במזיד, שהבעש"ט ח"ו וח"ו הקיל באיזה ענין, אפילו דקדוק קל של דברי סופרים, הס מלהזכיר ולפשיטות הענין, ובפרט לדכוותי' האריכות אך למותר.
וכן ראוי להדגיש בשתי הנקודות דפעולות הבעש"ט, שהתחיל עבודתו בקדש בחינוך קטני בני ישראל, ביחד עם גלוי שיטה עמוקה ביותר ביסודי היהדות והשקפת עולמה. ומוסג"ב העתק מכתבי למתועדים בחג הגאולה די"ט כסלו הבע"ל, שגם בו נגעתי בנקודות האמורות.

After the longest break, your letter from Wednesday was received, in which you write about your holy work of delivering weekly talks on Judaism, and you ask which points to emphasize regarding our master, the Baal Shem Tov—especially since we are now in the 200th year since his passing (hilulah).
In general, the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov are extremely broad and have been thoroughly explained in Chabad teachings; as our master, the Rebbe Maharashab said: "Chabad teachings are themselves the teachings of the Baal Shem Tov of blessed memory" (see a copy of this holy letter at the beginning of Hayom Yom and also in the introduction to Kuntres U'Maayan).
What is particularly important to emphasize is to reject and nullify the mistaken idea—spread either unintentionally or even deliberately—that the Baal Shem Tov, G‑d forbid, was lenient in any matter, even a minor detail of rabbinic law. Such a notion is unthinkable and obviously false; especially for someone like yourself, lengthy explanation is unnecessary.
It is also fitting to highlight two points about the Baal Shem Tov's activities: he began his holy work with educating young Jewish children along with revealing a very deep approach to fundamental Jewish principles and worldview.
