Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from the 10th (of the month), in which you write a summary of your life events and mention that you are now in the year when you must complete your studies as an engineer, and you do not know in which country you will settle after finishing your studies. You are also concerned about your mother who is currently in Egypt and that you must also consider her situation and livelihood when the time comes.
Certainly, according to the content of your letter, it is unnecessary to elaborate on the foundation of our faith: that the Creator of the world is also its present Ruler and watches over every individual with Divine Providence. He is the essence of good and it is His nature to do good—provided one acts according to the instructions of our Torah of Life. Such conduct is the channel and vessel for receiving blessings from Hashem. Since there are still several months until you complete your studies—when you will need to decide where to settle—it is clear that this matter should only be addressed a few months before completion, not ten months beforehand. Worrying now will certainly disturb your studies and all other matters. After some months pass, it would be appropriate to correspond with friends in those countries you mentioned and also clarify the situation in France where you are currently located. Certainly then—that is, after some months—you will be able to clarify things more than now, and accordingly decide whether to settle in this or another country.
The same applies regarding the shidduch (match) you mention: as it says "uMeHashem Isha Maskeles" (and from Hashem comes a wise wife), so there is no place for worry—only interest in clarifying details when it becomes time to think about an actual match. At that point, of course, one should clarify her worldview—whether it aligns with our Torah of Life—for only then "Ish v'Isha Shechinah Beineihem" (if their lives are founded on Torah and mitzvahs). Do not be affected by differences in temperament; this is common and when things are suitable there is no obstacle at all.
It would be proper regarding your own mood—which sometimes isn't settled—to have your tefillin checked to ensure they are kosher according to halachah. Also, every weekday before putting on tefillin set aside a few coins for tzedakah.
Blessings for good news in all mentioned matters and a joyous festival.
In the name of the Lubavitcher Rebbe shlita,
Secretary
P.S. In my office we do not write French; therefore this reply comes in Lashon HaKodesh (Hebrew), but you may continue writing in French since I read that language.
Summary
The Rebbe's secretary encourages trust in Divine Providence regarding future decisions about career location and shidduchim. He advises focusing on current responsibilities rather than premature worry, checking tefillin for kashrut, giving daily tzedakah, and clarifying important details at the appropriate time.
