במענה למכתבם מאור ליום השני, בו כותבים אודות שליחותם בקדש, עבור שומרי שביעית כהלכתה, גבורי כח עושי דברו, אשר באה"ק ת"ו במהרה בימינו על ידי משיח צדקנו.
בהיות אצלי מייסדי קרן השמיטה אשר בנויארק, במפורש נדבר, אשר עומדים הם הכון לעזרת כל שומרי שביעית אשר באה"ק ת"ו מבלי הבדל כלל וכלל, והרי אנשים נאמנים הם על דבריהם, ובפרט שדבר תורה הוא הנהגה האמורה, עזרה לכל המושבות, ולפלא שבמכתבם אין מזכירים אודות עזרה מקרן האמורה ובטח עכ"פ עתה יפנו אליהם, באם לא נעשה כדבר הזה עד עתה.
ובכ"א ע"פ מ"ש חבר אני לכל אשר יראוך וגו' מוסג"פ המחאתי פרטית.
ויהי רצון אשר בקרוב נזכה לקיום מ"ש אפס כי לא יהי' בך אביון, ונזכה לראות במצב הקשור עם האמור, דישראל עושין רצונו של מקום (ספרי דברים ט"ו ד') וכפירוש רז"ל בזה, אשר זהו כשעובדים ה' לא רק בכל לבבכם ובכל נפשכם אלא גם בכל מאדך (פירוש הה"מ ממעזריטש, ברכות ל"ה ב').
ומשמירת שביעית יבואו בעגלא דידן גם למנין שביעית ויובלות בהיות כל יושבי' עלי' בהתקבצם ע"י משיח צדקנו במהרה בימינו.

In response to your letter from the eve of Monday, in which you write about your mission in holiness for those who observe Shmittah properly—mighty ones who do His word—in Eretz HaKodesh, may it be rebuilt speedily in our days through Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
When the founders of Keren HaShmittah from New York were with me, it was explicitly discussed that they are ready to help all Shmittah observers in Eretz HaKodesh without any distinction whatsoever. They are trustworthy regarding their words, especially since this conduct is a matter of Torah—helping all settlements. It is surprising that your letter does not mention assistance from the aforementioned fund; surely at least now you will turn to them if this has not yet been done.
In any case, as it is written: "I am a friend to all who fear You..." (Tehillim 119:63), I am enclosing my personal protest.
May it be G‑d's will that soon we merit the fulfillment of what is written: "However, there shall be no needy among you," and we will merit to see a situation connected with what is stated—that Israel does the will of the Omnipresent (Sifrei Devarim 15:4), as explained by our Sages: this is when one serves Hashem not only with all your heart and soul but also with all your might (interpretation of the Maggid of Mezritch, Berachos 35b).
And from observing Shmittah we will soon come as well to counting Shmittahs and Yovels when all its inhabitants dwell upon it together through the ingathering by Moshiach Tzidkeinu speedily in our days.
