מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מאדר"ח אלול, עם הפ"נ שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.
ונעם לי לקרות בו שמקוה לעשות התועדות ביום שנתלו בו שני המאורות הגדולים הוא ח"י אלול.
ויהי רצון שכאו"א ימלא תפקידו במילוי רצונם הק' להפיץ המעינות חוצה, ותתחיל ההתחלה תיכף, שהרי מגלגלין זכות ליומין זכאין הם ימי חדש אלול, וכמבואר המשל מרבנו הזקן יעו"ש (לקו"ת ראה לב, ב).

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from before Rosh Chodesh Elul, with the pan to be read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory. I was pleased to read that you plan to hold a farbrengen on the day when both great luminaries were born—Chai Elul.
May it be G‑d's will that each individual fulfills his role in carrying out their holy desire to spread the wellsprings outward, and that this beginning should commence immediately. For merit is brought about through meritorious days—these are indeed the days of the month of Elul—as explained in the parable from Rabbeinu HaZaken (see Likkutei Torah, Re'eh 32b).
Blessings for good news and for being inscribed and sealed for good.
