Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter in which you write about the farbrengen and the idea of "shalosh pe'amim ba'shanah" (three times a year), it is self-understood that you do not need to offer any apology; rather, you should see to it that the matters you write about, which have come up in your thoughts, should be brought down into actual conduct. It is well known the instruction of our holy Rebbeim, of blessed memory, that every matter which brings an addition in awe of Heaven and an addition in proper mitzvah observance is worthwhile and correct. As it is written: "Et HaElokim yira v'et mitzvotav shmor ki zeh kol ha'adam" (Fear G‑d and keep His commandments for this is the whole person), and in proper mitzvah observance is included the matter of "darchei noam" (ways of pleasantness), which is a law in Torah as it says: "Deracheha darchei noam v'chol netivoteha shalom" (Her ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace). This should be utilized to influence one's environment and others to draw them closer to Torah and mitzvah through Ahavas Yisrael and also with chassidic warmth. And since this is demanded from us, especially from the residents of Kfar Chabad, it is certain that the strengths have been given so that one can fulfill this—both regarding one's environment and oneself—and this is clear.
Certainly you participate in the public shiurim that are learned collectively, as an addition to the well-known shiurim in Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya; and you also participate in the work of spreading the wellsprings as much as required.
With blessing for good news in all mentioned above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that positive intentions must be translated into action. Every effort to enhance awe of Heaven or mitzvah observance is valuable. By influencing others with love for fellow Jews and chassidic warmth, one fulfills their mission with G‑d-given strength.
