ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בזה, לא רק שמורגש איזה שינוי לטוב קצת, אלא שזה הקצת גדול יהי' וילך הלוך וגדול.
ומגלגלין זכות ליומין זכאין שכתב מכתבו בעש"ק נשא את ראש והמענה ר"פ בהעלותך את הנרות ופירש"י עד שתהא שלהבת עולה מאלי' בנר ה' נשמת אדם, ועולה מאלי' דוקא בגוף הגשמי, שזהו תפקיד הנשמה להאיר ברוחניות ובגשמיות גם יחד, שאז הרוחניות מרומם את הגשמיות והגוף מבררו מזככו ומעלהו, וכמבואר הענין בלקו"ת לרבנו הזקן ד"ה בהעלותך, יעו"ש, וגזע צור מחצבתו מסייעתו.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh, in which you write about your conversation with the doctor treating your daughter, may she live.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news in this matter—not only that some small improvement is felt, but that this small improvement will become great and continue to grow.
Merit is brought about on auspicious days, as you wrote your letter on Erev Shabbat Parshat Naso and my response is at the beginning of Parshat Beha'alotecha. Rashi explains "ad she'tehei shalhevet oleh me'eileha" (until the flame rises by itself) regarding "Ner Hashem Nishmat Adam" (the candle of G‑d is the soul of man), and it rises specifically within the physical body. This is the soul's mission: to illuminate both spiritually and physically together—then spirituality elevates physicality, and the body refines, purifies, and uplifts it. As explained in Likkutei Torah by our master the Alter Rebbe on "Beha'alotecha," see there; and one's ancestral merit assists him.
