מאשר הנני קבלת מכתביו מט' אייר והקודמיו, ויהי רצון שמתאים למכתבו תצליחנה הפעולות בעניני הכפר כולו ובמילא הצלחה בעניניהם הפרטים של [כל] אחד מתושבי הכפר אשר שם צוה ה' את הברכה, ובפרט שנמצאים אנו בשנה שעלי' נאמר שבת היא לה', שכמו שבשבת הרי שביתה היא מכל דברים המבלבלים וכמ"ש וקראת לשבת ענג, ומעין זה ועד"ז הוא במשך כל השנה באתעדל"ע, ובסדר הכתוב, כי תבואו ושבתה הארץ שבת לה' (עוד קודם לשש שנים תזרע שדך וגו') וכמבואר הענינים בלקו"ת פ' בהר ד"ה ושבתה, במאמרי אדמו"ר מוהר"ש בשנת תרכ"ז, ובהמשך רס"ו ועוד, שמשם גם פשוט שפעולות שש שנים תזרע וגו' כאו"א מתאים למעמדו ומצבו מוסיפה עוד בשבת לה' שיבוא לדרגא שבת שבתון יעוין שם העלי' בזה.

I acknowledge receipt of your letters from the 9th of Iyar and those before it. May it be G‑d’s will that, as you wrote, the activities regarding the entire village will succeed, and consequently there will be success in the personal matters of each resident of the village where Hashem commanded the blessing. Especially since we are now in a year about which it is said: "It is a Shabbat for Hashem," just as on Shabbat there is rest from all distracting matters, as it is written: "And you shall call Shabbat a delight," so too throughout this year there is a similar effect from Above, and in the order written: "When you come into the land... then shall the land keep a Shabbat for Hashem" (even before "Six years you shall sow your field," etc.), as explained in Likkutei Torah Parshas Behar, discourse beginning "V'Shavsa," in the maamarim of Admor Maharash from 5627 (1867), and in Hemshech Resavav and others. From there it is also clear that the actions of "Six years you shall sow..."—each person according to his own standing and situation—add even more to "a Shabbat for Hashem," so that one reaches the level of "Shabbat Shabbaton."
